So I am new to internet marketing...yes this is where you click back and say "wow yet another one of these posts". The thing is, I am not new to marketing, or sales. My entire career has been sales, I joined a venture with my brother who is more of the brains of the operation...well, he is now working a 9 to 5.

I manage and promote a few bars in town already, and clear a decent living. In an average size american city, what companies can profit from a website? I've been racking my brain for 3 days now. I think I just hit a block, and need to talk this out with like minded folks!!

Thanks for everything!!

A better question would be who can't? There aren't many businesses that don't at least have potential clients doing research on them through the internet.

The point of my post was to pull me out of my rut, which kind of helped. Thank you ff1227 for a legit answer. I currently pull in $500 from each bar I promote. I can't exactly ask that kind of money from the local lawn service. My thing is, I want to get paid for doing somebody a service. I do not want to get paid, for mind f**king a company into thinking I can make magic sales walk in the door.

Why not find small businesses that currently have no online establishment? Set up a decent looking site and show them how much more business they could potentially earn.

What business wont benefit from a website?

If I'm looking for a place to eat, I search for it. I look for their website to find a menu. If I can't find it, I don't go there. I may not even know the place exists if they're not on google maps.
If I need to buy something locally (due to shipping costs/legal reasons) I still use google maps and search engines.
If I need a service, I use search...

There is literally not a single business that won't benefit from a website.

Ah, sorry when I read "promote" I thought you simply meant you were one of those people who gets paid to bring people to a certain pub or club which doesn't have anything to do with internet marketing.....unless you use social media.

Anyway from the sounds of it you may want to look at the off line marketing section on BHW. Though it is rather quietly lately they still have fantastic threads that go into detail about payment methods, negotiations etc.

As Zapdos and ff1227 have said everyone can benefit from a website you just have to show them how.
