One of my friends ( 70+ year old guy actually ) runs an online tea shop in the UK, he started it around 2015, he gets new customers only using google ads, he is growing each year ( slowly ) but because of his age, he wants to sell that store at some point so he asked me if I could help him to increase number of orders/customers,
I won’t share the url of the shop but it looks quite old-fashioned ( I think it’s built on wordpress ), so the first thing which comes to my mind is to rebuild his shop ( shopify, or wordpress/woocommerce ) to achieve more modern look + better ux, and because he uses only google ads, as his customer acquisition channel,
I thought about facebook ads, and other essentials like e-mail marketing ( first I need to grow his e-mail list because he doesn’t own any…), subscription model, maybe sms marketing?,
So my question to you guys is, are these ideas good enough to increase sales/make a difference?
What would you suggest to focus on first to see the quickest results?
What gave you the biggest boost in your online shops?
Do you have any other ideas to increase orders on the website?
This could be a great opportunity for me ( maybe even life changing, who knows… ), so please any help would be much appreciated, many thanks
