I'm new in IM and the more i learn about how to make money online the more i've got the impression that marketing isn't compatible with a sense of ethic, so i would like to know if you have an ethic when you do online marketing or is it something you don't care about ? :)

Well I am against selling remedies for cancer cause it`s terrible but I don`t give a damn about g00gle and about people who will get their email spammed cause they were naive and dumb enough to believe that someone will send them a free ipad just after puting their email in the input...

IM can be compatible with ethics, what you do is entirely up to you. Some people just don't care about breaking some ethic principles and then it's maybe little easier to do IM with this attitude. But it's really not necessary, you can play nice and don't stress your conscience ;)

some forms of marketing are ethical, and some forms of marketing are unethical.

what's ethical for one person might be unethical for you, and what's ethical for you might be unethical for someone else.

so if what you're asking is whether all forms of marketing are unethical for everyone, then the answer would be no. :)

I agree wholeheartedly with Simas9 on the cancer cure point. I do promote CPA email/zip submits although I know I would never bother with filling out those myself.

Internet Marketing can be as ethical as you want it to be. It depends on your personal ethics. If making fake accounts, fake blog comments and fake profiles is unethical in your eyes, then you should probably stay away from Black Hat World. I personally don't see that as unethical though.

It is up to you to decide what is ethical and what is unethical. Everyone is different, some people care about ethics and some people don't care about ethics. Just remember that there are a lot of people out there who have done worse things than your lying to people to do CPA offers.

ok thx for your replies it was just to have a global idea of your vision of what you consider as "good" or "bad" in webmarketing because sometimes it really seems that the most efficient marketing strategy look systematically unethical to me...

Ethics is incompatible with court rooms. That's not a secret but a frequently stated fact - the principle of impartiality. It is up to you to decide whether you want to apply the same attitude in far less serious matters.
