I was wondering what would be the most marketable demographics when it comes to affiliate marketing through email. My main demographic group would be teenage girls (13-19) who want to lose weight. Is it easy to sell to younger audiences?

I would say not really since they might not posses a cc in order to purchase the product.

I would suggest finding a facebook group in that niche. How would you find it? I don't know. They don't have a database one can browse, but if you could find one and join you could just make posts and/or get their emails.

The reason I ask is because I'm getting leads/traffics through yahoo answers and it seems like most of the demographics there is teenage girls.

Do you guys think that users from yahoo answers are usually an appropriate demographic for affiliate marketing (clickbank products, etc.)

Women 25+ and married would be a good one to go with.

Your target audience is broke, don't go for it. You need to know 3 things:
    Who the buyer is
    Why they buy
do they have the authority to buy

Teens 80% DO NOT have the authority to buy. So if you want to target them for weight loss TARGET THEIR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS with your sales copy. You will find more often than not that your target audience will not meet those 3 core factors for sales. If you truely want to target those kids, you need to hit their parents. Emotions, hiarchy of needs, desires, doubt removal, and then finally you need to make it appealing (package aka product imaging) to their parents. Don't expect overnight sales, your sales will be long run, and in fact if you don't know how to reach your demographic group, it will be even harder. Most importantly since your are a affiliate, it will be 10x harder for you to take passion and deeply want to help these people without your own product.

Can it be done? Yes, but expect chump change. You can always go into married women, but the same effect applies. There are so many resource books available on here (not WSO but REAL resource books) that can train you how to sell anybody to anything. All I can offer you at this stage is for you to RESEARCH until your brain hurts. Then, take a break and come back to your plan. If you can see yourself 3 years from now realistically with everything you know and can do as successful then start doing it. If you just want money then go work at Walmart in your country, or a local shop. Internet Marketing (not scam marketing as 95% of it is) isn't about YOU making money, it is about YOU solving people's problems and the benefit of that is getting money (growing rich).

Internet marketing or business in general is about return customers and sales. How do you expect to get those return customers? MONEY does not come from 1 time sales as idiots on WSO will have you believe. Money comes from repeat customers. Repeat customers are customers you have collected by offering outstanding articles and customer support, a incentive list for them being your customers, a relationship with them as human beings and not wallets, and finally your product authentically and reasonably solved their problems and created satisfaction and gratification for their money. If you are going to be BH about this, expect a turd on a plate. If you think that people will fly by night for your affiliate product, you are wrong. Your competing affiliate "friends" will always out step you UNLESS you can use psychological marketing techniques more efficient and effective than they can. Finally, I can only offer the advice that if you are really going the BH road, you won't last more than a few months with tripple the work if you would have been sincere about your target audience. It is so much easier to get authority, money, fame, and love from your customers that drive them to buy from you than to steal their dollar so you can have fun with your friends on Saturday or go to college. That can be found in BHW Download Section. If you can't find it look up the book Mind Control Marketing by Mark Joyner. It is plastered all over the internet for free, but it is the very minimum BASICS you need to develop before you start this venture.

The information inside is parroted by a lot of internet marketing blogs but very few of those blogs know how to put it into effect. Affilorama is a excellent starting place for you to use their free articles to learn from some of the world's best professionals. I took to heart what this guy said, coupled it with some BHW methods and went greyhat. Guess what? It worked and instead of me scamming people for a hamburger, I am authentically helping people for well over 6 figures a year with a list smaller than 30,000 active buyers.
