Market Samurai... WTF???

I bought MS nearly two years ago (at full price) before I knew of this forum. For the most part, it has done the job admirably, however I have noticed that there have been tons of occurrences where I will check my rankings, or check SEO competition and the results WILL NOT LOAD!

Sometimes it will load halfway and get stuck at 80%... or half of my rankings will update and the other half show 'not found' because presumably a timeout has occurred before all keyword rankings are updated.

To my fellow MS users - have you experienced this, and if so are there any good solutions? I've thought about using public proxies as opposed to the built in proxies but had minimal success after a few efforts.

I should also note that I've downloaded the FREE version of traffic travis (and I do like it), however I don't think you can set your search depth like you can with Market Samurai. I personally like checking the top 500 or 1000 to see where I'm ranking after posting a blog entry or page, that way I know which keywords I should build some links for to improve upon.

I could be wrong but it seems like TT Free only tracks the top 20 or so.
 
I'm having trouble with Market Samurai at the minute where it's just stuck on loading results, i think it's just a thing thats happening right now.
 
This is undoubtedly me at 2AM most nights!

The other thing I don't understand is how they are still in Beta. Like how many times are you going to release updates (which they do quite frequently) without reaching version 1?!? UGH

yes I have the sam trouble and I'm worried about that, MS is a key tool on my strategy...

They are making some big changes in the system this week, I hope they still working when see the disaster in their systems and in this week thinks back to normal state...I hope so!
 
They got hammered big time. They did a back end server verification to slow the proxy queries to fix this but that created another issue and they wound back the fix temporarily.
 
Traffic travis pro is catching up big time !

They just need to add the keyword and they will overtake ms
 
I am hoping that it gets fixed this upcoming week. It has been terrible.
 
Have the same problem myself, just gets stuck on loading results, so good to see it is not just me. Hope it is fixed soon.
 
MS is screwed now. I have been using it for 18 months or so now with great success. But as of about a week ago, I have completely un-installed it and will never use it again.
 
I signed up for the trial a week ago yesterday, intending to buy for the 7day discount. Ended up avoiding it entirely after seeing:

1. LOTS of unfavorable posts recently on their forum (days before the proxy issue)
and
2. The only keyword tool they use is Google keyword tool, which limits MS to generating 100 keywords without you making burnable adwords accounts (which limits you to 800)

I'm sure MS has its use in whitehat territory, but I'm not buying it.
 
I've been using MS for a while now and have noticed the following issues.

1) It's slows as shit when switching between keywords, rank tracker, keyword search, etc.

2) You cannot export the domains from SEO Competition anymore like you used to by being able to click the Track Rank button. The same button still works for the keywords though. I emailed them about this two months ago and it has still not been fixed.

3) It needs to be redesigned and should have been built on a different system.

I am still using it for keyword research because I love the data, but I now use other software to track rankings that gives me a lot more information that I want to see for an in-depth analysis.
 
i have received a few emails from MS this week saying that they are having major load being put on their servers.

their servers are probably being hijacked by scrapebox users. lol

i do like the data that comes out of MS but the platform could work a whole lot better. especially at the moment.
 
I have noticed this more and more over the past months then they put out an update and it works for a little while.

What drives me up the wall is when you have terms ranked on the first page MS is not able to see them. I know i have 30 plus sites that this has happen on that ms wont see some key terms that are on the first page
 
used MS again last night doing some research

keyword figures came out fine but couldn't get SEO competition stats at all for any of the terms i was looking at
