Market Samurai sucks at rank tracking

My domain is on page 1 for my keywords, sometimes twice for deep linked pages. My root is sitting at rank #1,2 or 3, yet MS is telling me that my domain is not in the top 1000 or is in 64 or 117 place. When I click the link in the result cell, it takes me to the correct Search Engine page for that result # but, of course, my site is nowhere to be seen. Anyone else see this or can recommend a better rank tracking system?

I'm using 0.87.23 since the newer MS have had problems with the licensing schemes.

I think it's because you're using in-built proxies (you can disable them in settings)

I emailed MS recently about Rank Tracker. They say they are working out the bugs.

Hi,

It sounds like you may not have expanded your results fully.

To the right of URL for each keyword in Rank Tracker there is a small blue arrow, click this to expand the results and see all the ranking pages for that keyword.

If this doesn't help please submit a support ticket so we can get this sorted out for you.

switch to Traffic Travis. its faster and has more features than Market Samurai, and rank tracking works completely fine

give sescout a shot. They have a free option that has ranks updated once a day.

It depends which data centre the information is being extracted from I believe, although your results sound extreme.

I've encountered substantial discrepancies with the SEOC results that MS has returned for particular keywords in the past.

Traffic travis gets my vote here guys! and of course its free ;)

I dunno why people keep praising Traffic Travis. One of my sites is in top 10 for some keyword and the above software does not even find it, while MS finds the proper position. Now that is a fail

Market Samurai is messing up beg time right now. I am not sure why but I hope they figure it out soon.

They have closed their forum as of now as 80% of the new threads were about how bad MS sucked...

Well it is now 5th May and their forum is still down, I cant find many recent discussions about MS, is the software dead and buried now??

I tried my version last night, it did work but was so slow it basically killed my PC by hogginf 2gigs of memory so in the end I gave up and uninstalled it.

I see they are still selling it on their website which seems unethical to me.

Strange that more people are not complaining about the forum been shut though, I was surprised when I found out last night - 4thMay that is was shut and assumed it was for a few days - of course I do not believe the revamp nonsense, but I was amazed to see it was shut since March - 2 months, surely this software is dead now, how can they still take peoples money??

It's not dead, but she ain't what she used to be. There was a few updates this week.
