What does it mean when some of the numbers in MS turn red?

    That you lost some backlinks...

Every red number in MS means that it's less than the last time you ran the ranker..
Green number means you gained something like pages indexed, ranking, backlinks...

No but that does sound a pretty good idea. A kind of stopper!

I dont mind it when it turns red as it means Google still has the now on my site. It knows where I am at.

It could be that a blog comment was taken down or the admin of the site took it down. When Google spiders went back into the site it was gone.

Actually it's Yahoo. MS takes its backlink info from Yahoo.

Besides the reasons given, keep in mind that this info isn't always 100% accurate.
I've seen occasions where a link was gone and showed up again the next day....:D
