Hi all, I just started using MS this week and have found it very useful to some extent. So I'm comparing my site metrics to that of the top 10 in Google.
Lets say I want to top my competition in the Google ranking. Do I need to make sure my CF/TF is higher than theirs? Or does everything count, including referring domains, RDP, etc... ? Because some of these sites have 35k links pointing in (which seems out of reach for me), but their TF/CF is not as impressive and I feel like is something I can achieve.

Thanks in advance

It's not that simple.

It used to be close to that when we had a public PageRank because that's Google's metric. However, you can't rely on a metric from a completely independent from any search engine for ranking (Majestic, Moz, Ahrefs).

Some of the things that you can rely on:
Are the pages ranking for the keyword targeting that keyword, or just ranking because of their domain authority
What kind of backlinks does the domain have
What kind of backlinks does the page have
Are they employing some blackhat methods? If yes, can you do bettter?
