I'm in the process of manually creating online accounts. I've been looking into staying anonymous/changing my 'footprints' to avoid mass account deletion.

So far I've found:

  • using different ips for each a/c
  • using a FF plugin to change/hide the http referrer
  • using gmail/hotmail emails instead of throwaway emails from, say, Trashmail.

Feel free to add any tips, tools that you use.

Clean cookies. You can try different browsers also - depends how much you need and what accounts you want to create.

Change useragents, Use Ccleaner and use a Mac Spooffer. You should be good then.

Thanks for mentioning useragents.

To actually go through the process of activating all the plugins to cover yourself, it seems like alot of hassle. Does anyone know of a one-stop-shop where this fits the bill? I came across a service called Cloakfish that provides this, but peeking at the forum, there doesn't seem to be any life.
