So post penguin, post panda...

There are lots of amazing pieces of software out there that let you create backlink structures on auto-pilot.

Yet everyone harps on about how it is important to build links manually rather than on auto command.

I have had great results with automatic link building (link pushing) but I usually have my links built manually because I have just had good results with that and prefer to be safe :o

What are your thoughts?

It's alot easier to make a mistake with automatic software since you're usually creating links in volume. As long as you follow the new SEO principles (anchor diversity, contextual links, creating link pyramids) it doesn't matter if you're doing it automatically or manually, you'll get results.

I think the reason why your manual link building has more success is the following: Natural Link Growth

Manual is totally for chumps :)

In the end nobody knows if a link was built manually or automatically.

Totally agree. Any link that someone can create manually I can create automatically.

Now who do you think would win the race? The guy creating 100 manual links a day or the guy creating 1 million of the same type of links a day. I still don't get why people are manually building web 2.Os or blog comments or whatever. Yes, you might rank but it will take 100 times longer and in a niche that is not very competitive. The web is about automation. Automate everything or get left behind

Google redefined what a NATURAL LINK means.

Yeah it means nothing. Natural is blasting your site with thousands of links a day as long as you are building 20% exact anchor, 50% long tails, 20% naked URLs and 10% click heres.

Well well. Your confidence in your automatic link building has me intrigued.

Perhaps it is time to just try UD and use it to rank my sites? :)

Start learning what works though. Just blasting your site might do more harm then good. Diversify everything.

I still blast my money sites with scrapebox every day (20k and more) and never have a problem. Why? Because I scrape all the keywords related to my keyword so that I am blasting to 30 pages on my site and 200 plus keywords. If I were to blast my site with 1-5 keywords, that will trigger spam for sure and my site would be murdered.

Manual ink is a process of increasing link popularity of a page by submitting our site on other domains and it increases ranking in search engines. It is one of the most important factors to be successful in online marketing. Manual Link Building process helps in getting high targeted visitors to our website and in turn gets high ranking in the search engines.

Automatic can definitely save much time and money. It's pretty hard to define without any context what is manual or automatic for you. If you're talking about manual as in 5 manually built PR6-9 link to your site a day vs automated links coming from all over the place, that would be up for discussion. If you're talking about submitting articles to directories manually vs submitting articles in an automated fashion then that is another discussion with a different answer.

As for me, I would rather choose automated any day of the week simply because it lets me spend more time with my wife.

automation could look just like manual if done properly and slowly

With google getting intelligent by the day and catching on to the different link building strategies, it will be a matter of time before their algo updates can tell the difference between manual and auto. What type of link building do you think google would prefer? The answer is manual. So long term manual will win the battle over auto.

In many cases, they cannot tell and never will. Why? Because automation may look fast and a blast done in a single day may look suspicious on paper but you also have to consider the time of indexing when it comes to Google. They rely on that and since not all sites have the same structure, PR, amount of links, credibility, platform, searchability and other factors, indexing times are different which makes it still look natural.

And besides, Google will not RISK putting down sites simply because of the time when the links came in. Why? If CNN publishes a video or an article and a million links came in because it is so awesome, would they get pandalized? Heck no.

Very true! Time is money. Why spend time creating manual links when you could already be making money from your automatic ones?

This is retarded. You need to realize that google only prefers what ever doesn't work. It is that simple! Stop thinking and listen to Google and Matt Cunts because they are brainwashing you to think that manual is better. Why? Because manual doesn't work. And why does that matter? Because businesses will pay more for ads after they realize their shitty manual blog comment strategies don't work. As long as your site is completely clean and provides clear value that should be the only thing that matters.

Its amazing marketing by google. They have made people to believe all this white hat bullshit and as you can see after the last update, so many white hat sites were destroyed. Google wants you to do whatever DOES NOT WORK!

They claim automation will get you banned blah blah blah. These are scare tactics to force people to do what doesn't work and when it doesn't work they will buy ads. They are scared. Google won!

As google gets better so does your automation. Never should anyone resort to manual linkbuilding, unless you want to be WF chump.

The thing is with that direct blasting, you can do it for your own site's and you do it the right way, but you can't do stuff like that to client's sites. Because if one day your site get's a manual review, your SB backlinking profile will shine.
