hey friends.

i have a website for 6 month now, and i try promote it myself.

all the profiles 2.0, the comments, the articles, blogs and more, i did from my own IP address, with no(!) automatic seo tools.
and sure, my footprint is all over.

my question, does it worth anything?
should i continue spread links from my computer,
or all this work is just useless?

thanks

Continue getting quality backlinks and generating a LOT of UNIQUE content, the work that you did is not useless. Your site is only 6 months old, it takes on average few years for site to start doing well in google if work was done whitehat way. So if you are really serious about your site than continue building links and content consistently.

Continue promoting your site. I don't see the reason why your work would be useless.

I started out like that three years ago. I posted a blog promoted it but didnt even thinkabout making money. now see you're thinking about seo and all that and you're ahead... I just thought i would get more people to go to my blog and listen to my music. I've grown a LOT since then, there's no reason why you can't make a full time living off IM in a year or so.

See, backlinks play an important role in improving search engine visibility of the website.

Since your website is new, it may take some time to deliver expected results.

Just carry on with the work you are doing. Make sure all the links are relevant to your web page.
