Manual SEO VS Automated SEO campaignsThis will be the first ever thread i am starting i guess. I am full time SEO content writer and i really know the stuff when it comes to on-page seo. And many IMers have built niche sites with my content on them and lets say they are killing it most of the niches.
Now i get jitters if someones asks me if i can start a niche site promoting offers on my own. Now there are two reason for this -
1. I dont have the required funds for acquiring software like magic submitter, best spinner, death by captcha, proxies and other stuff the pro use to automate the whole off - page process.
2.My off-page skills are a big ZERO. Whenever the idea of setting up campaigns, footprints, proxies, web 2.0 come up i really give up. Though there are some proven SEO strategies like the one by PAt flynn and also the whole tiered link building by Matthew Woodward. BUt still it is one of my weakest points.
Now this is what i really want to ask -
Can a newbie like me stand a chance to build niche sites based on certain affiliate products ??? and
I dont have those expensive tools?? is there a way how a newbie can get started??
Can niche sites be ranked through completely manual off-page seo linkbuilding??? if yes please can you just push me in the RIGHT direction??

Thanks guys for hearing me out!! (forgive me for my english, not so good at that)

Grind. If you know what you are doing you can rank for competitive keywords with no paid tools. Paid tools allow you to automate some stuff easily, but they aren't some magic SEO machine. Anything a paid tool a human can do better, just takes considerably more time.

If you are doing things manually your going to want to go for quality rather quantity and try to gain high quality backlinks. You will go insane trying to get several thousand backlinks from manual blog comments for instance. Focus on things like guest posting which only involve a bit of outreach and content.

Also why are you so concerned about what Matt Woodward and Pat Flynn are doing? Experiment and find out what works for you and your niche. The best experience I've got in SEO is going out and trying things myself. I rate Matt's tutorials on tools though, they are indepth and idiot proof.

I am just worried about the stuff that if and when i start working on my niche sites building backlinks manually, then what must be the MUST DO for the manual campaigns ??? i am little clueless on the how and what to target when building backlinks the manual way ??

Do you mean follow links? If you have no budget and want to build some good manual backlinks get on guest posting. Just reach out to blogs in your niche with a good out reach message and say you will provide them with a quality article etc. You will build some decent links back to your site.
