Both manual outreach and marketplace guest posts are widely used, but results seem very different.

From your experience:
Which one performs better long term, and why?
Is manual outreach worth the extra effort, or can curated marketplaces still deliver value?

Looking for real comparisons, not theory.

Doesn't matter how or where you got the links from. What matters is the quality of site linking to yours. A site you got via outreach, could also be part of another marketplace seller's inventory.

From what I’ve seen, manual outreach usually performs better long term because the links are more contextual and the sites tend to be genuinely relevant. That said, good marketplaces can still work if they’re curated properly and not just selling links on recycled sites. The real difference isn’t where the link comes from, but whether the site has real traffic, clean history, and natural placement. Bad marketplaces fail, good ones still deliver — just with less control than outreach.

Marketplace guest posts are easier, but real outreach gives stronger results over time.

From real-world experience, manual outreach performs better long term. It earns links from genuine, niche-relevant sites, builds stronger authority, and keeps the link profile natural, which holds up well over time.

That said, curated marketplaces can still deliver value if you choose strictly vetted, real sites with traffic and editorial control. They work well for scaling safely, testing niches, or filling gaps quickly.

Best approach: use manual outreach as the core strategy for authority and longevity, and marketplaces as a supporting layer for consistency and speed.

Manual outreach performs better long term because editorial, niche relevant links retain trust and rankings, while marketplace links tend to dilute and decay over time.

I think manual outreach is better because we have direct contact with the admin/editorial team and in future if we want any changes in the anchor text/link, we may directly contact them. However, on marketplace there is less possibility to do that.

Outreach wins for long-term safety. Marketplaces often sell spots on "link farms" that eventually get hit by spam updates. Manual outreach builds real relationships and gets you links on sites with actual human traffic.

In my experience, guest posting on e-commerce platforms is better in the short term. Manual outreach is better for long-term development.
Manual outreach = long-term investment, truly effective. Acceptance rates are lower, but the value of each link is very high, impacting ranking and traffic significantly.
Guest posting on marketplaces = valuable in some cases.
However, only when very carefully selected; posting as much as possible isn't necessarily better.

Manual outreach wins long-term because real, relevant links earn trust and stick, while marketplace guest posts are mostly short-term, low-impact fillers.

Manual outreach yields stronger, long-term link quality and relevance than marketplace buys.

From my experience, manual outreach wins long term via relevance and relationships; marketplaces help scale, but quality and longevity often drop.

Honestly, for long-term vibes, manual outreach just hits different because you're actually building legit connections While marketplaces are super quick, that extra effort means you're landing on sites that genuinely fit your vibe, which totally pays off in the end.
