Hello BHW,

With your help, I could rank my first website, with low comp keyword, on the first page on Google. It generates a little bit of money but I think I am ready to start my second project.

So I am back to keyword research. I used 'Keyword revealer' to find its difficulty for my first project, but this time I don't want to rely on just one tool. I will use keyword revealer, keyword finder. What else are out there? Semrush is too expensive for me.

What tools/statistics do you check before you start your project? Thanks in advance.

You can try Ferzy.com (full disclosure, i am involved with them). What's different from kwfinder for instance, is that it shows you the age of the domain rankings in top.

One of the easiest way to look for easy approachable keywords is to look at the age of the domains ranking in top. Do you see a 2 months website ranking in top? Maybe 2-3 , 6 month websites ranking in top? There is profit to be made there if new sites are able to shoot up the ranks so fast. If you see only 5 years+ old domains rankings, you should think twice.
This is one of the quick wins you can get, apart from traditional seo metrics and analyzing competition.

Okay, I will give it a try. Thank you

2 Weeks trial of Ahrefs is not bad. All metrics as semrush got also content and competitions spy features.

Nice tool. If you can implant search volumes it would be a very nice tool. I did had some errors with fetching related keywords though.

  • It helps qualify a PPC campaign. Without free access to this tool, you wouldn’t be able to properly test and execute your campaigns.
  • It helps identify SEO opportunities. If people are paying for traffic, it’s worth putting SEO effort into a keyword, too.
  • Whether you do SEO or PPC, you need to know how your customers are looking for you. The Keyword Planner helps show you which words people search more. This helps you learn which phrases offer bigger opportunities for growing traffic and customers.

LongTail Pro Platinum is a 1x fee, and it has been the best investment for my SEO firm.. since sliced bread!
