I suppose it's a result of the fact that we've been spoiled, but I was actually thinking about this the other day.

Suppose I wanted to MANUALLY submit a comment with a backlink in it to a blog. I have no idea how to do so. I only know how to plug in the necessary data to various bots that do it. Thus, I've always used different bots to do it for me.

How would one go about submitting a backlinked comment on a blog, for example?

Make a post, stick in an acnchor text and wack it up there.

 i just have no words. Simple typing .
Navigate to the website where you wish to leave a comment find and form on that website on wordpress there is usually Name field email field WEBSITE field and comment field.
Now fill those fields with necessary data and into WEBSITE field type your website that's the field for your backlink And use your name as anchor.

My apologies for the seemingly noobish post. It's not that I didn't understand how to comment on a blog. I simply wasn't familiar with ever using the "Website" field.

Much obliged.

If you have any proficiency with computers at-all, you will immediately be able to work out how to leave blog comments. You only need to have the skill of a basic internet user to actually leave the comment, plus knowledge of the <a href= tag to insert the link. When the link is inserted into a name field, the <a href= code is not required.

wait so you've been using 'bots' before learning how to do this manually

does anybody else understand me?

Purchase mortgage loan

Just ran his URL through a checker. Looks like there are a few decent manual backlinks to follow.

What a fool to spam a blackhat site! The funny thing is, he would do a lot better if he actually joined the site properly than trying to spam it.

These loan guys are all over the Internet. I think it is one of those businesses that are booming because they are anti recessionary. Terms like "payday loans", "cash loans" used as footprints will leave you with plenty of do follow blogs that are instantly approved.

Most are spammed to death but there are a few good ones every now and then. I have even found a PR7 using these guys footprint.:)

You write the relevant answers suited to your site, into the data form fields on the blog you are commenting on, rather than into software's fields. Same principle just on a webpage rather than into software.

Quite a strange comment after 504 posts though...

As I mentioned, I had never done any blog-related marketing, and though I myself have indeed had blogs before, I wasn't certain that the "Website" field was the actual "backlink" as it were. My area of expertise has always been on the Email side, and I'm an admitted n00b to SEO.

just shut up and work it out, just wasted 5 mins on this thread that should be in the bin

Wait, so you waste MORE of your all-important time actually posting a reply to a thread you couldn't figure out you didn't want to read until you were done? Moreover, you didn't even consider that your value-less, asshat remark drove this "bin-worthy" topic to the top of the forum, or were you not thinking when you posted?

By all means, show that you have a little intellect and don't prove your counterproductivity. Instead, try foresight, which may help you figure out not to finish reading a topic before the end, or maybe try not spending time POSTING on a topic you feel has no value and in doing so, not putting it back at the top of the goddamn forum.
