I know to find out if someone manipulated metric like DA, DR and so on...

Most of them use Google redirect links to boost their metrics

But I don't know how to find if a site traffic is manipulated

For example: let us take a person who sells guest posts, to increase his sales he uses bot traffic.

As in terms of number it will be easy to attract the customer's

Please let me know if any one knows

How to find out the difference between bot traffic and organic traffic ( the real visitor's)

Thanks

Check his website ranking in semrush or similar tools. If the site is ranking for keywords, it will get organic traffic. If it's not ranking for any keyword and the seller still showing you traffic reports, the chance of bot traffic is high.

Moz don't give a fuck so anyone selling DA based links is probably selling garbage

well said, Mr F .... I had realised the exact same conclusion a couple of weeks ago .... super to have a mod / staff member on this board who knows his biscuits ....as a long time subscriber to both Ahrefs = super ........& Moz = Sh1t ...is great to have a knowledgeable SEO educator on this board who knows what he is talking about ....thank you

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Ahrefs stopped their DR being manipulated and dropped the DR of hundreds of crappy sites.

Moz don't give a fuck so anyone selling DA based links is probably selling garbage

Would you say we could use DR then as a good indicator for pbn links ?

Here's what you should do:

1. Check if the site is more than 2 years old
2. Check if the site has majority of its traffic from USA
3. Check if the site has organic traffic
4. Check if the site is ranking for keywords on 1st to 10th position.

If all these criteria are met, then go for it!

But I saw some seller's who found new methods, to manipulate DR and other metrics!

Ahref DR is still manipulated in a better way :) These metrics are just shit

Honestly DA is a vanity metric. Google does NOT look a DA whatsoever. It gives you a rough idea at best of high strong a domain is. People act like its the gold standard and then turn around and wonder any they aren't ranking or another site is ranking with less DA. Just my 2 cents...

Tbh i find all metrics are vanity. The only thing that should matter imo is inboud links and the value, quality, quality and velocity.

To be fair: A site can do very well without Google's help. Couldn't all the traffic to a site come from social media or a loyal subscriber base?
