Hello there,

I'm searching for low competition keywords, and I guess I found one.
But when I put the keywords into SEM Rush, here's what it gives me :

So, SEM Rush tells me that this keyword is really difficult to rank for.
But, when I go to Mangools, here's the results :

Mangools tells me that it's still possible to rank for.

Which one do I should trust ?
And how could you explain the difference between those two results ?

Looking at two different tools and comparing penis sizes is not the right approach. Look at the SERPs manually, look for weak sites in the (top positions that you can beat) pun intended. i.e. Low DA (not always 100% but good place to start), irrelevant stuff that shouldn't be there, forums and other user generated content.

Thank you,
Yeah, I looked every time but as it is my first website, I don't know how difficult it can be to beat Amazon or Wikipedia (the two sites that comes the more often when I'm searching in wich niche I can start my journey), so I rely on tools like that to check Authority, backlinks, keywords, site in intself...

Go for ahrefs majority wins :D

kwyword tools Semrush Is good, but remember always manually check cause they can’t be reliable
Always manually check ! Understood !

I would skip the keyword if you see lots of big names on the first page. Go for keywords with forums, reddit, quora, and other sites similar to your site type (if you're ecom they should be ecom, if you're affiliate they should be affiliate) - however, the comparison is not only for site type but also complete with sites that have fewer links (usually low DA is a good sign for bulk analysis, download the mozbar and you will be able to see DA for every site in the serps)

These tools will never give you 100% accurate results and every tool uses its own techniques and methods so no wonder you are getting different results. These tools are only good to have an idea but you should always do final check by doing some manual research and analysis.

KWFinder all the way IMO.

But yeah, always do a manual check too.

Do your own research, check for top results and their backlink strategy
