Managing Offers on Adscendmedia

    maybe im missing something but does anyone else find it a pain to manage offers on an Adscendmedia gateway?

    For example i wanted to just include email submit type offers to the gateway but the only way i see to do it is list the offers by type then print that list then search for them one by one in the manage offers drop down box.

    There must be an easier way this has been bugging me since i joined them a while back.

    You have to go through the offers one by one and chose

    Find the offer u want to add to the gateway, find the traffic icon beside the name of the offer and click it. Wait fr the pop up to load, find the gate and complete, as apprpriate.

    i actually hadnt noticed that tiny button there!

    shame it cant be done with the tick boxes somehow would be so much quicker.

    adscend seems to be really backward in their user interface. I also have the hardest time adding specific offers to the gateway. I can't even pick the category and country I want to appear.

    finerpleasures makes a good suggestion -- you can click the icon on the Stats pages to easily set a preference for an offer. That way also you're seeing how well the offer performs in relation to others.

    The reason that we don't make it easy to choose offers based on a category or a conversion point or a commission amount is because those things are not a good basis for selecting offers. EPCs are what matters. A second-page submit may outperform an email submit 2 to 1. It really just depends on the offer. I only recommend changing offer preferences if you're seeing a particular offer perform significantly under or above what your averages are for the country in question, and for a statistically significant period of time. I often see people choose 4 US offers and set them all as Preferred so that they're the only ones that'll be used, and this is a terrible idea unless you're going to monitor them and test new offers that go live. Sometimes we'll see an offer start out strong and then tank in conversion rate. Or a mobile offer will be doing really well and then the advertiser makes changes due to the constantly-shifting standards and laws, and it'll flat out tank. So just don't set preferences and keep them forever is my main suggestion.

    We have a better management system planned but it will be a while to be honest. The new icons that we added to the Stats pages the other day are a big step I think, and delaying the management overhaul allows us to prioritize some other new features.

    yep finding those icons on the stats page a massive help.
