Hi guys

I'm confused between EasyWP (Managed WordPress Hosting) and shared hosting (with EU Datacenter Location) for a french website.

what companies are they? Generally rule of thumb is more you pay less hassle. What kind of features are you looking for and what stage are you at, in terms of knowledge? That will make a difference to what you need. As an example. I host on bare linux vps, and just install cpanel in them and then manage sites from a vps for better performance than shared, a bit more expensive but cheaper in the long run.

"Managed" Hosting are typically hosting where the provider will pretty much handle all sys admin work behind the scenes for you.
Anything to do with technical hosting and such, just open chat/support and they will handle it.
That includes any downtimes etc.

While a shared hosting generally also provide the same "customer support" but in more of a lesser form. They are usually not as knowledgeable in the said field and typically only provide basic assistance before escalating it to an "IT Technician". Which may or may not help you & may take hours, upwards of days and maybe even weeks.

This usually means, Managed hosting are generally a bit more expensive as opposed to shared hosting and as @Panther28 said, general rule of thumb is more you pay less hassle as the provider should be dealing with all technical hosting issues for you.
