Those messages..... Is it just me or is that thread kinda creepy? I mean that whole forum is.....weird.....

By the way the USDS page is gone from the White House since Jan 20th. Must've changed presidents or something.

WMW is an ancient forum. It was popular back in days. They were always pro-white hat afaik.
 
What's interesting is that Black Hat World is essentially just a spin off of WebmasterWorld. You see what happened is that Dave (the original BHW owner/creator) had a falling out with the other moderators and admins of WMW (Dave was a mod) regarding distinction between whitehat and blackhat link building and what should and should not be allowed to be discussed on WMW. The mods collectively decided to pretty much give him a "trial" to see if they should boot him from his mod position. They deliberated for a very long time, and eventually decided to remove Dave from his moderator position, and to do the same for two additional moderators (hexalor and HaRRo) who had the same viewpoint alignment that Dave had. Unbeknownst to the moderation team at WMW, the three ousted mods had been spending the past several months building up their own forum, which they called Black Hat World. They had been covertly sending invites to anyone who talked about blackhat tactics on WMW and received warnings as a result, and their membership was already taking off. Eventually, the admins of WMW contacted Dave about it and everything I have just written is a complete and total lie.

Damn, I got played hard. It's been months since I've fallen for stuff like this. Even the moderator usernames sound completely legit.
