I am earning still the same money except missing these couple of extreme years and they are gone. I remember sitting in some Swiss Bank in early 2000s as a 20 yo and the Swiss banker suddenly started talking about his daughter. Anyway the time has changed; the competition is just insane, everybody and his dog wants the $.
