Whether its a squeeze page, sales page, miniblog/autoblog, mini niche site, ecommerce site, affiliate site, or cpa site, by what means are you building it?

How do you design and develop it?
I see that most people are using wordpress for pretty much everything, but what if you want a bit more flexibility? Even though it is flexible.

How many of you use a web editor like dreamweaver? How many of you build the site from scratch? And for those who are doing that, what software do you use and what coding do you tend to use most other than html, css, and php?

Thanks guys.

Wordpress is easy it install in some clicks and there are various plugins like total seo and so on which makes on page optimization very simple never tried php so no idea
but i would like to tell you wordpress is the best platform i have ever used :)

instead of wordpress i have just started using joomla, and completely love it. it's great. i think it's a lot better than wordpress, and more flexible.

I second the vote for joomla, the other issue is the fact that most of the "seo plugins" for wordpress actually suck at seo

I'm not very tech savvy - so I use wordpress for my sites. It's still very good and with right plugins you can do allmost anything with it.

yeah I keep hearing about joomla. Ive tried it out, But I'm thinking I should get back into it

I havent tried joomla. been using wordpress for all my sites. ill try it on my next project!

Notepad2 for static HTML sites and Wordpress for dynamic sites.

All I need to build a website is Photoshop and Notepad++.

I just hate CMS. The web would be way better without Wordpress and all the noobs who dont know how to build websites.

WordPress is intended to be used as a blog, not a sales page or a squeeze page. Just google "free squeeze page template".

Yeah WordPress is a bit too bloated if all you are using it for is a landing page. I use Notepad/UltraEdit for simple pages.

Second that! Photoshop and Notepad++ (Well, TextMate since I changed OS) all the way!

Although, I do use WP sometimes with my own theme and own plugins, and in some cases i see it as a major time saver.
