Making video's about making money, does it make money?

Hope you managed to read that title okay, So it recently got me thinking about all of these youtubers, not the shitty guru's but people like Biaheza, they all seemed to have started with making contnent ( very high quality ) on the recent trends, for Bia when drop shipping was booming he made content on this that was highly valued, and did also go on to sell a course. But mainly has now built up hundreds of thousands of followers and is genuinely doing well, now doing video's on all of the latest trends.

So would it be a bad idea to invest in some decent youtube gear, camera's microphone's etc and look at going into this route?

Reason I ask is because at the start of next year I leave to go on my working holiday over in Canada, the idea behind this trip was to remove me from all of my friends and give me the time, and a nice fresh mind set to get my head down and really work hard on a project to generate me some good money, and also to enjoy myself and explore the country.

I've got about £10k, 4 of which i can happily invest into such a project, the rest is for my leisure time and rent etc while i get started.

What are your thoughts? and any other youtubers that you know have ridden the wave to get a mass following and then become really successful

I don't think they are doing it just for passion or to waste their own time honestly.
I can't tell more since I never worked in this niche but as far as I heard from others it's one of the most profitable, as well as one of the most difficult and competitive niche out there.

honestly there's a lot of shitty content and people eat it up, make quality content if you can be bothered or just make clickbait thumbnails:

Your Idea is good and the niche you are thinking (making money) is also having lot of potential. At the same time, it is too much saturated and became competitive these days. If you come up with very good content which includes case studies, guides & journeys, people may stick around.
But my advice would be don't take broad niche in money making, take small or micro niche which makes it easy for you to convert and CPM is also good for this niche.

Do enough research on it and then start.
 
Most of the content in this niche is fluff. Showing off planes and jets to make cents. Harsh reality.

If thsi Norweign dude can get 1.17M subscribers and make money, so can you.

The hardest niches only work in long term. It's fine to go with this niche if you're planning to work for 3-5 years to get ROI. But, if you want to invest a lot and quickly get profits, then it's better to stick to easy niches and slowly grow MMO youtube channel over the years.
 
Bro that niche is very saturated, if you do a youtube search you will find millions of youtubers in that niche. The ones who are making a lot of money are the ones with the gift of communication. Most of them who come across as gurus are just faking it but they are good at marketing. These guys can sell ice to an eskimo.
 
Yes it does , as YouTube pay high cpm for that type of niche. I'm also looking to do a case study about this very soon.
 
Making money niche have lot of contents mostly low quality misguiding and good content with sharing experience

Create videos on subjects you have knowledge about so you can sustain long run on youtube platform

why don't you try to create casual vlogs in canada have seen lot of interesting videos of vlogging people living in many locations
 
If you make in depth videos, it will be making money for you. It should be very detailed video.
 
It will make you a lot and the great thing is you don't have to know shit about finance or making money to start
