I am not a guy who usually think so philosophical but this video made me think that how our small actions can make people happy

No matter at what highness you reach in your life, if you cannot understand this small things, it isn't worth living your life. I just wish if everyone of us at least spend 10% of the amount that we spend on entertainment, we can surely bring smile on millions of faces

Despite people like these guys doing it for the subs and views, it's still a fuck-load more than the majority of people do in their lifetime.

I personally don't give money to homeless people or beggars unless insanely drunk (then I clean out my wallet pretty much

) because I believe that everyone's fate is in their own hands and if they really wanted to get back on their feet, they could... The world isn't all that cruel, if you want to get a job and a place to live, you can if you put in the work. You might not be living in luxury right away or getting paid as much as everyone else but you'd definitely do better...

Maybe it's just the homeless people here, they tend to waste all the money they get on drinking instead of trying to improve their life and shit. It's pretty disgusting.

That was a stupid move, don't bring religion to the discussion. I've seen numerous of such videos and the givers seem to be from different religions so religion has very little to do with this. It's more about ethics, welfare and generally being helpful.

You know what....a lot of the "giving to homeless" videos on YouTube exploit them and I think that is wrong....

BUT THIS ONE....this one actually touched me because these kids were genuine. They weren't exploiting them and making them say stupid shit for the camera. Know what else I noticed? They ended virtually every encounter with a handshake. Class. I respect that.

I'm heading out tonight to watch a baseball game and from the parking garage to the stadium I usually walk past a dozen homeless people. I am going to bring a little extra cash and a bag of food to hand out on the walk. All because of this video.

Think about how we bitch if sales are low for the day or something else....but guess what. We all have a roof over our head at night and a nice bed to sleep in. Seeing this really knocks me back down to reality. I encourage everyone who watches this today to hand out a few bucks and some food. Make a change. While I also agree that "we all make our own destiny" I guess that still doesn't mean we can't help.

Good point. However, what about, let's say... handicapped people ?

I always tend to give to the poor and especially those physically incapable to work, even though a lot of beggars (at least in my country) work for someone else, and that's why I often carefully choose the ones that I give to, because as you say everyone can work and make a profit if they want, not just quit and beg for spare sitting there doing nothing, while the one who gives the money is working hard to earn it.

So there must be some exception to that for the sake of humanity.

Spot on. We can actually help someone by doing something very little and insignificant to the majority of people, but to that person's perspective; that could make his/her day.
