Hey,

How can I be making sure people don't click my ad?

I have a phone number I want to put on the ad, and have the people call. My site will still have the information and will have the phone number, but I'd rather save some clicks and have them call the number and have no need to click.

How could I word my ad to do this? Any ideas?

Thanks guys

And the answer is : You can't.

Google wants your money, and they only make money if people click.

you can try rotating campaigns, and changing the location targets.

In the Ad say
Don't Click Just Ph 991

Google probably allow this though,

I doubt Google will allow this as they are manually reviewing many ads

You are not allowed to put the phone number as part of the ad text (line 1 & line 2). You could put it in the Display URL, or you could setup a domain made out of your phone number...so instead of for example plumberchicago.com people would see a domain named 404344641.com (with our without hyphens, your choice). Then you can say in your ad copy something like "Dial Number Below" or something. Don't use the word "click" or "click here" as it is against Adwords TOS. In the end, you won't be able to prevent all people clicking on your ad because some people simply do not read the ad, have a nervous finger or want to see the website and details of the service etc.

its not line 1 or line 2 but it does show a phone number, does that cost extra?

I doubt they allow phone numbers either. Have you seen any ads displaying phone numbers?
