making sitewide backlinks work

sitewide backlinks are said to be quite risky these days. Especially footer or sidebar backlinks.

But how about if all links point to different pages?

e.g.

backlinkdomain.com/page-1 ---> moneydomain.com/page-1
backlinkdomain.com/page-2 ---> moneydomain.com/page-2

I am just about to launch a big aggregator site and I am wondering if this might be a good idea. I saw some big players use this pattern.

Contextual links are always going to look more natural than a footer or sidebar one.
News sites follow a similar pattern and it creates more opportunities for diversity in anchor text.

Its a good idea to link to other domains too, to sell that the backlink domain is just a normal website.

the question is not so much if contextual / footer / sidebar but if we can build thousands and thousands of links from one domain if they point to different pages

If you link out naturally without using exact anchors, you could be doing a good job.

It would only work if thousands and thousands of sites were linking to your domain too.
And with that it is an authority status the same as any other news or popular content site.

Though the sites linking yours must be somewhat quality themselves or at least catch momentum from some sites that are linking naturally.

Yes, people do this.

It will work when the backlink domain has high metrics and it is relevant to your niche.

It works but you may draw the linking down on a diagram or so before you set the links! This way you will get a overview of all of it and avoid mistakes!

i have seen this but never tried. lot of work if you have many pages and i would consider it completely unnatural if i where Google .....

Better use one sitewide link with brand name or random anchor. If you have hundreds of reffering domains and dilituted anchors you may try using exact match kw as a sitewide link.
