Making popunders work in Chrome?

I am looking for a way to create a popunder page or tab when a link is clicked on my webpage. The link goes to a external site, the popunder also a third party site. I can get something working in Firefox, but nothing works in Chrome. AI can't provide answers. Any tips or suggestions to try? Thx.

You can open actual a href with target="_blank" in new tab and replace current tab with "popunder" url if that works for you. With javascript onClick(make sure to add delay of 1 second).
