Making new TPB/Mininova accs

What is the best way to change ips to make new accounts? I tried to use hotspot shield (a VPN) but when I tried to upload the torrent to TPB i got "database error 27"

As far as MN and TPB is concerned, they are playing with you. Get or purchase a proxy service. I am sure it can help you.
 
Do you have dynamic ip? You should be able to change by unplugging the router. If not you should look into proxies.
 
Agreed. But you will need to find the clone mac address area and change your mac so that you get a different IP. Normally, just power cycling your router won't get a new IP for most people.

will any free proxy services work? Like TOR?
 
No, they ban them. If you can access the proxy list for free, so can they.
 
I've had my ip banned twice in two days by Mininova, I can reset my router from my PC, only takes 2 minutes, but I don't know whether it's worth it with MN. I lasted less than an hour last night. They seem a little touchy...

What kind of torrents are you uploading, the traffic from MN is worth it in my opinion.
 
I lasted a few hours on mininova last night; got 200+ downloads on each of my torrents. Im not exactly sure how to go about getting my new IP though; ill have to try later on today. The computer i upload from has a wireless card which receives from my downstairs computer; so i guess i'll go downstairs and unplug the router.

I have verizon fios, does anyone know if this router will work with resetting?
 
Try it out, mine get`s new IP with resetting, reset it and go to a site like whatismyip.com and find out if it changes or not!?

I had an IP ban for some time there then I tried the Technitium Mac Address changer ... sorry I cant post URLs yet but google it, its a shareware download.

Worked like a charm !!!

That will only change your mac address from your computer right? I dont see how that can possibly fix it. The piratebay if anything, could only see the mac of your modem. Nothing past there.
 
The ip change worked for the pirate bay, but does anybody know about mininova? it lets me register and then as soon as I go to upload a torrent it says i'm banned. I've tried clearing all my internet/browser data and resetting my ip. Does it have some other type of cookies? Flash cookies?
