Hey Guys,yesterday I bought my very first domain and am now setting up a WordPress site.This shit is a little more difficult than I thought it was
going to be that's for sure.Any tips would be much appreciated,anyways got the logo done today we will see how it goes.

Best thing to do now is just learn as much as I can.I would like to get the site looking close to perfect before I start doing SEO on it.

First things first: there's an old post on the WWW about WP called "how to harden your WP installation", or something like that. It's about security for WP: read it all and PRACTICE it all. WP can be hacked easily if not well administered. Then after you got it secure, then proceed to work on SEO for your WP blog.

Well, youtube will give you every sort of help on installing a WP site, securing it, using the various tools available in the admin area, and so on.

Congrats on stating!
WP has learning curve but after you get over it it's quite easy to build a nice looking site in 1-2 days.

I know how fustraiting it is to spend hours working on something but there is nothing to show for it so I would recommend you try some of the easy to use drag and drop type plugins (like page builder (not in anyway affiliated with them)) it's easy to make something with it and understand how the whole process works..
+ you can make a good looking page in no time..

Search on google about child theme, it will give you 50% headstart. Read a lot and search a lot, it's a fun experience

Yea good job on starting! Main thing is to take note of the differences between pages, posts and widgets. Once you start to know where to post your content, setting up a wordpress site gets really easy.

Good luck with what you're doing, it surely does take some time to learn something new but in the end it really pays off. I learned WP by installing it on a local environment using XAMPP and I suggest you do the same.

Good luck man. Once you use it enough times, you will begin to see it is a really simple user interface that is easy to use. For beginners it can be overwhelming, it was for me too.

As bart said, learn how to secure it as hacking can be a big problem with wp sites. I suggest you look into installing better bulletproof security/login lockdown for starters.

As said, it can be daunting at first. But once you have played about as little things fall into place nicely and make sense. You'll soon be a wp wizard!

About security I have had my site hacked a few times. Make a backup of the database and the site. Which reminds me I need to do that after making a lot of changes recently.

Don't go crazy with the plugins. All you probably need at first is Yoast SEO and a free asismet key for spam.

Okay I have been searching all day trying to figure this out hopefully someone here can help me out. I am trying to sell items on my site.I do not Know What This Is Called But I Want To Make Lists Of My Items Like This Picture Below. How The Hell do I Do That?
