Making money

Hey guys!

I'm new here, hopefully i'm not breaking any rules (i quickly read them as i'm anxious). Here's my situation: I'd like to start making money online (i can invest), i'd like to net about 500?/monthly for starters. I'm willing to work hard, i have some photoshop abilities and some web design abilities (basic html lol), i am very computer literate, been working as sys admin for a local company. So my question is how do i achieve my goal? whats the best way, it don't need to be the fastest way, but what do you guys suggest? Friend told me about clickbank and making blogs and advertising stuff? What can be achieved by that? i'm new at SEO, there's TONS of info literarly on this forum, if you could just point me in general direction of where to start i'd be most gratefull. I am not that experienced to give you the proper advice, however, your background suggests you do work as sys admin (windows or unix flavor?). Starting a blog which you update on a regular basis around cloud computing or data center info can get you good income via adsense. Make sure you are not just leaving blog once you start it, update it regularly. There are literally more than 1000+ long keyword searched in data center and cloud computing or cloud automation, start a blog and try to make it as authority website. (you can also subscribe to google alerts and dedicate a section to news where you cover 2-3 news rewrites on daily basis).

Also as you have photoshop skills (I am guessing intermediate) you can also start providing designing services on BHW (other internet forums and marketplaces). I mean this way you wont be getting into something new, you will be capitalizing on your strengths. As you progress, I am sure you will find enough time to learn more about seo, sem, clickbank, cpa etc. But that things you can target later as well as you will be starting up with skills you already have.

Read everything you can, jot down what you like the sound of in a word doc with the link to the post. Then take action on it.

Haha solid replies guys, specially thanks to the first Anyways i've read trough a few topics on this forum and recieved bits and pieces of informations. I've researched the whole click bank thing since my friend couldnt really explain it to me in a matter that i understood it (he's bad with words) and i kinda like it. I like the idea of choosing a product to promote and doing it trough your blog/website whatever. So here's my plan, remember i'm new at this so my lines will probably be wrong therefore correct me if needed . Step one, find a product on clickbank to promote with mid traffic, something i can relate to wtv, step 2 check for keyword hits using google keyword tool, step 3 Register a domain name with closest relation to the actual product, step 4 place a review of a product on your blog, generate trafic, step five: get $$ sounds simple enough Nahh joking aside, i'm confused with the whole seo, backlinking, i know i have to use it on my blog and article wtv, but how? which tools do u recommend? most newbie friendly, etc. I've read about google sniper yesterday, boy do they know how to promote themself,"make gazzilions daily", right, i'm not buying that however i've downloaded it just to learn a little something (knowledge never hurts) about advertising, or should i put it, a way of advertising. As far as steps go, am i missing something? i'm not looking to make 4848/day right away but i'd like to earn my first 5$ as an advertiser in a month
