No. I don't know. I mean, don't you use any websites? If you use them they're probably good right? If they're good they're worth promoting. Do they have affiliate/referral programs?
Then... do you know of popular websites that you know are good and legit, even if you don't use them? Do they have ref/aff programs? Promote those.

If you want to make money from YouTube first you need a decent audience then you can use selling merchandise, promotion of brands, affiliate marketing and if you have a website then you can use your video to the landing page of your site to generate traffic.

The best long term option would be, Offering the course or service within your domain with which you are comfortable. Initially charge them lower than your competitors and provide more value. If you offer courses, don't offer on YT through JOIN button since you need share almost half of the revenue with YT. Instead, put them on your website and ask your audience to join. As long as you are giving value, your audience won't hesitate to join even it is outside YT platform.
And other options is, provide additional information relating to the video content (in the form of notes/images/infographic) on your website (it can be new or existing site) linked to YouTube. Interested people will definitely check out. Once you get website traffic, your earning opportunities are unlimited.
My advice would be, whatever you do don't restrict your audience only to YT. Engage your audience with good content, set up a website and convert your traffic.

Well, I'll probably repeat myself, but mostly they earn on links to some product and on advertising of some company in the video itself. Your earnings also depend on the age of your audience.
Do branding on Youtube (brands will send you their products and you make a video showing those products), do affiliate marketing. And one tip for promoting your channel to a widen target audience is subtitling it into languages. I'm using Subblink - an automatic subtitle tool. it's quite convenience, I don't have to wait too long for subtitle, and it doesn't affect my video quality after subtitling as well.
