Making money with twitter

I'll definitely try this method! I'll keep you updated guys :D

Update #14
Followed 990 new people today and instantly received over 250 new followers! Today was a good day, I found a new competitor with great followers to steal :aetsch:

Hello everybody, nub questions here!

I was doing a similar strategy some times ago and now, thanks to your thread, I decided to give it a second try.
I manage 6 twitter accounts all related to a different niche. All of them have more than 3K real followers generated with the follow/unfollow tactic. and more than 10k tweets each.

In my personal experience all of my accounts have been banned one or more time, always due to excessive follow/unfollow activity. Surely I've never gone so far to follow hundreds every day..
One thing I've found for sure is that If I UNfollow more than 30 ppl each day, and repeat this for several days, this will result in a ban for me.

So here it's question #1 : is it safe to follow so many people ? According to Twitter rules you can follow 1000 ppl per day, but how many times?

While I follow new people, this generates a great activity on my tweets, with RT and Fav as you say, and even some little earnings for me. But when I quit that, all the activity slowly tends to reduce, going to near 0 in a few weeks.

Question #2: in your experience: do you have to constantly follow new people to generate traffic?

Thank you for your attention and keep on the good job,
Max

Update #15
Decided to follow and unfollow again, unfollowed 500 and refollowed 500 new people and I received over 150 new followers, I didn't tweet for a few hours and my last few tweets received over 8 favorites and retweets, my account has close to 3k followers, I could tell the new followers combed through my tweets since a lot of older tweets a few weeks old received favorites and retweets

1. I use aged accounts but I'll only go on following sprees twice a week, I'll follow 900 people, wait 2 or 3 days, unfollow 900 people and refollow 900 people, if you do it every day you might get banned, only do it once every few days.
2. eventually once you reach like 250k followers you'll get more retweets and retweets lead to more people following you.

If you find something interesting. Do you retweet?

Yes retweeting is good sometimes, I retweet my other accounts to help grow them ;)

Ok, thank you for the details.
Here's my technique: I follow more or less 80 users a day on each of my 6 accounts. That is approximately 560 users a week (more than 3k all together...)
I don't unfollow anybody at the moment. My followback average standard is 25% (between 120 and 150 per week depending on profile)

2. eventually once you reach like 250k followers you'll get more retweets and retweets lead to more people following you.
It's a looooooong way to the top!!! :p
But I can see good results even now, so I want to continue on this path!

Thank you for your kind answers,
Max.

My account was blocked 3 times in 1 week. All they want is to reset the password... But if I continue like this I think I will be banned.

Update #16
More than 16 days into this journey and I have under 3k followers, since it's an aged account I think it's time to be a little more aggressive in following/unfollowing I'm going to try to follow and unfollow every day.

You need to slow down then, this happened to me on my new accounts, during the first week you should only follow 5 or 10 people a day, make sure you keep tweeting! When they ask you to reset your password this means they think your account was hacked and someone is botting with it, let your account age first before you start doing anything, also make sure to fully set up your profile

Update #17
I unfollowed 700 people yesterday and refollowed 800, my fingers almost went numb. I gained a ton of new followers though so it was worth it.

Update #18
My unfollow/refollow spree yesterday paid off, gained over 14 favorites per tweet!

Thanks for the replies ... my tweets do not get many retweets and favorites. I'm in the football niche, if I tweet something about these young players like James Rodriguez or Neymar, I get a few favorites, but girls fans. It's crazy. Do you use some technique to tweet?

I did something similar a few months back but havn't been working on it. I mainly focused on tweeting out pictures as those were easy to scrape off from tumblr or some other site so you could get a buttload of pictures. I bought a twitter bot that could tweet out pictures. Had like 5 accounts going. The accounts had specific niches.

What I learned:
Adult picture accounts get followers, but very high competition and most of the followers probably won't buy anything just want to jerk off.

Do not make accounts with high competition as there are plenty out there that have 100k+ followers already.

If your not gaining followers, favs, and rts every time you post once you have like 500+ established posts, then the people that follow you are not interested and will never buy anything.

Out of all the accounts I made, I only found one gem. It is real niche specific and I am surprised there are no similar accounts. Every time I will tweet out a picture or text my phone would keep vibrating every time from many retweets and favs. I would gain about 5 followers per new post. I havn't been really focusing on twitter lately because I am working on a different project.

I think the most important thing I learned is that it doesn't matter if you have 1000s of followers. Right now I only have 150 followers on that account, yet I bet I get more retweets and favs then you would from your 1000s of followers. The people that follow you have to be interested that is the main point. You are not going to sell anything if your followers arn't hooked to your every tweet.

Lastly, do not tweet too much. I used to have my bot set up to tweet around every 30 minutes. I noticed I would get 5 new followers, but 2 would unfollow me. Real people do not want to keep seeing you post on their timeline no matter if they are the best posts ever. Think of it like your personal twitter account.

Hope this helps.

You have good research, with the last part I totally agree that you should not tweet too often, maybe 1 tweet every 2 or 3 hours is more than enough, I only tweeted like crazy so I could get a couple hundred tweets so my account looks more legit, since my account is aged it would look suspicious seeing an account from 2010 with only 100 tweets, an account with 1000 tweets from 2010 seems more legit, with my rapid growth I think its time to start tweeting once every few hours

You need to have targeted followers, if you tweet about neymar then get neymar fans, if you want neymar fans looks up brazil soccer tweets or something and follow everyone that follows that account.

I'm doing this, but it's hard. How many followers you get per day? I follow 900 and 150-200 follow me back, I don't know if it's good rate.

3000 followers, some tweets get 12 favorites and 5 retweets, I want to try experimenting with ads now, found a twitter cpc site called trend junky, thinking about applying

I'll follow around 900, wait 2 or 3 days, unfollow and refollow new people. I usually gain a little over 200, but you're in the right range, you might also be following some fake accounts, to find out if an account is fake just click on a few accounts and the ones with low followers and tons of retweets are fakes.

hey op ,
i am trying bit.ly on twitter but its not working. Is their any link shorting service i can use for twitter?
Thanks in advance

Following this with interest, have an old twitter account that I will spin up and try some of this.
Cheers

Update #21
I just need to grow the twitter account some more, I purchased some bots and a vps, so far the bots have trouble tweeting but besides that they're good for following/unfollowing people. The bots make it easier to aggressively follow and unfollow. I expect my account to grow a little faster now.
