I gained more followers today and more favorites and retweets, I noticed my content is kind of generic so I will have to improve that.

Your niche is a little more difficult but the same rules still apply, just because someone is following a cam site on twitter does not mean they're signed up with them and even if they are they still might sign up with you.
I don't use any but there are many free programs like justunfollow

I just started a twitter journey as well. can you give us a little more details like follower count and how many retweets you get in a day?
Are favorites really that great/important? Should i be happy to be favorited or not care?

I unfollowed 600 people and refollowed 600 more, I originally lost 2 followers after the mass unfollow but I gained over 250 followers after the refollow. I received around 3-4 favorites and retweets per tweet. I tweeted once per hour.

Yes you can easily follow 100 people per day
At how many followers do you start advertising? I've got an account with 2.4k followers while following only 25 myself. Haven't used it in a while, but I was getting around 100 followers a day right before I quit. Seeing this thread got me to start using it again as of today. Good luck with your journey!

Personally I'm going to wait until I have 250k followers. I wouldn't even bother advertising with only 2.4k followers.

I wouldn't want to spam links or whatever so I'd probably make every 1 out of 10 tweets an ad. I hope it will take half a year. I am planning on building up a site and make money with adsense and amazon affiliate links, if I get too lazy I'll just promote mylikes links or do ppc or something250k followers.. that will take you half a year
How many followers are you getting per day? If I'm going to be active again, I can get like 100 followers per day. But even then it'll take 60 months to get to 200k followers lol. What am I doing wrong? How are you handling this exactly? Keeping in mind that you only want real followers and not just people that follow you back because you followed them.

You're not following random people you're following people that follow an account similar to yours, when they notice you followed them you're exposing your account to them, they're deciding to follow you back. I usually follow around 700 people, wait 2 days, unfollow and refollow, this way you'll get over 100 followers a day.
