Making Money With Twitter

Twitter can be an excellent source of free mobile and desktop traffic, the main purpose of this journey is to build up a large twitter account (over 100,000 followers) and either sell it for x,xxx, use it to drive traffic to a website (relating to the twitter niche), use the account to build up more accounts, or simply use it to sell retweets and shout outs.

Step 1 Pick a niche, any niche. Find something that you like (you're going to be tweeting several times a day, finding a niche you enjoy will make this much more enjoyable) popular niches include fitness, weight loss, comedy, celebrity parody, gym tweets, hot girl tweets, hot guy tweets, motivational quotes, party tweets, college tweets, drunk tweets, food tweets, etc. Make sure that there are large twitter accounts with your niche or something similar (this will make it easier to gain followers). Once you've picked out a niche please move on to step 2

Step 2 Create your account, depending on how much experience you have with twitter, how much time you have to spare, how much money you have, and how lazy you are you might want to buy a twitter account. I have decided to do both, I have purchased a twitter account from 2009 for only $10 (had followers and was an active account) and I've set up a new account. If you purchase an account be sure to change the name, email, and password asap.
If you have purchased an account skip to step 4, if you made an account proceed to step 3

Step 3 If you purchased an account move on to step 4. Since you made a new account follow these simple guidelines. Do not follow anyone yet, do not tweet @ anyone yet, and do not DM anyone yet! First you want to send out a few tweets, tweet some stuff related to your niche, if you picked fifa updates post something like "BELGIUM SENDS USA HOME JUST IN TIME FOR JULY 4th!!!" don't spam though, send out one tweet every few minutes. While you're tweeting start to set up your account, add a picture, a banner/header image, add a bio (don't go too generic though if your niche is fifa make is something like "Keeping you updated on all of the events of fifa 2014!!!") Don't add a site yet or anything like that. After you've set up your profile and after you've tweeted a few things you're ready to move onto step 4

Step 4 If you've purchased an account and have not set it up yet skim through step 3. Since you've already tweeted and set up your profile you're ready to start following people!!! You want to have around 15-20 tweets before you start following, the more tweets you have the better it is since your new followers will have something to look through and will get a general idea of what you tweet. This is the really long and tedious part of this journey. If you've selected fifa/soccer as your niche you want to target soccer players/fans. What you want to do is find a famous soccer player (Louis Suarez :joke:) and click on his followers, follow everyone that follows him. If you purchased an aged account that already had tweets you can follow the crap out of people, feel free to follow over 500 people a day. If you have a new account you want to be safe and only follow a maximum of 50 people a day. If you have a new account I promise you that you will get blocked! This is no big deal though, you will get blocked for either following too many people or tweeting too much (you'll get an error saying that they think it's an automated process) no big deal, simply log onto your email that you used to sign up and confirm the account/change your password or whatever they suggest. After you do this you still might be blocked for another 24 hours. As soon as you get unblocked slow things down a bit, maybe only tweet once an hour, maybe only follow 5 people a day etc. After a week things will get better you can follow 500 people in a day and tweet 100 times without any problems. Don't unfollow anyone unless you can't follow more people, once that happens you can unfollow everyone that doesn't follow you. Once you've done all of this move on to step 5

Step 5 Once you've reached your desired amount of active followers you can feel free to do whatever you want, you can promote your site, sell retweets/shout outs, you can promote new twitter accounts, or you can sell your account.

Where's the journey you might ask? I created 2 new twitter accounts and I'll be walking you through this exact process with daily updates!!!
I have a twitter account from 2009 and a new account I just created, follow me on this journey to making a successful twitter account.

You do not want to use addmefast or other twitter following sites, you're only going to get fake followers!!! You can easily make $5 a day with minimal effort to over $1,000 a day if you work hard enough. If you have 100,000 add me fast followers you'll probably make $0.01 a day, if you actually manually follow real people that follow you back and retweet your tweets you will easily make $20 a day with half as many followers, easily $20 a day from one account. Depending on your niche you can make anywhere from $1 a day with 10k followers to $100 a day with 10k followers. It mostly depends on the niche and quality of your followers. You want people with many followers that retweet your tweets to follow you.

sounds interesting,

lets see how it goes :)

this post makes me appreciate this people on blackhat and this forum! Thx

No problem! This is why blackhat world was created after all!

Where do you go to sell retweets and shoutouts? My buddy has over 230k real followers and he's verified (blue check).

You could create a sales thread here, sell shout outs on fiverr, or other forums like dp.

Update #1
Today I set up my 2009 twitter account, bio, picture, header, everything is set up. Since it is aged and it already had followers and tweets I figured I could send out 100 tweets, I probably sent 1 every 10 minutes. So far so good, I've received over 10 favorites, retweets, and followers. Planning on following people now that I have enough tweets sent out.

Seems like a very simple and fast method to connect with thousands of people. I am pretty active on Social Media so this might be a good route for me. Cant wait to see your future updates. Good luck.

Subscribed to the thread. All the very best on your journey :)

How are you sending out these tweets? Are you using software to automate it? Are you sending out generic stuff or actually writing out 100 tweets per day? That's more 4 tweets per hour. Thanks in advance for your time.

This is an interesting thread, and it got me started maintaining my Twitter account again. I thought I would share my experiences:

I started a sports themed twitter account two years ago, back when TweetAttacks still existed. I was very aggressive in following/ unfollowing and somehow avoided a ban. I would follow as many as possible every day, then the next day follow all my unfollowers. I did this for awhile and got to around 2000 following and 2000 followers. Next I went on Fiverr and bought 17,000 followers for $5. These followers were garbage, but that was okay because Following/ Follower ratio is important.

(In general, the more people that follow you, the more legit you look)

Next I happened to stumble across a VERY good offer related to my sports niche on MyLikes. I tweeted it twice and made close to $30 (This was with only about 2000-3000 real followers) It was awesome, but the offer is gone now and I think MyLikes isn't paying as well as it used to. Once I realized MyLikes wasn't working so well I kinda gave up on the account and didn't tweet for a few months.

Next I found IFTTT (an iPhone/ Android app) It allows you to automate a lot of things, and I used it to tweet news reported by ESPN. I still use it to this day. It probably tweets between 25 and 50 times a day, and I usually get 10 or so RTs, 10 or so Favorites, and 5 new followers (give or take a few from each) The best part is it was literally zero maintenance. Right now I'm sitting at about 9.4k followers, and I suspect about 5k of them are real.

I've found the best way to grow your account is like OP said, follow users that follow accounts related to your niche and unfollow those who don't follow you back.

Thought I would share this, hope it is some use to someone on here

I'm sending the tweets out by hand, depending on my mood I can easily send out 100 tweets a day. Depending on your niche you could tweet generic stuff or quality tweets. Here's an example, lets say you're writing about soccer. You could tweet something generic and say "I wish the world cup was every year", you can steal tweets from other accounts, or you can google "usa vs germany score" and sweet something like "USA Scores 2 points against Germany!".
