Making Money with PPC

Has anyone here successfully made profit with an e-commerce website using Adwords as the sole source of traffic?

I am looking at either starting an e-commerce business or selling a niche problem solving info product such as "lose weight fast" etc. although organic SEO is great in the long term, I would need to make an immediate ROI..

Do you think this is possible?

For an Immediate ROI try to offer some services. A business can took a years for immediate ROI.

It is possible, improbable though. I mean you could get lucky and find you turn a profit immediately but PPC requires testing to optimize ROI; different keywords, ad-copy etc, and then there's your sales page which will need to be optimized also. I wouldn't jump straight into PPC myself unless you know what you are doing or you will find you've burned through your budget before you know it.
