I don't have a complete solution here, just an idea. I am a UFC fan and over the years I have found a couple low cost streaming services to get around the ludicrous PPV costs. They are an awesome deal - $10 for the entire month and you get not only UFC but also boxing and any other sporting events.
Before I found these services, I would spend hours trying to find a free streaming service each month for the big fight. And I would wade through a ton of websites and posts promising a stream only to be sent to a bunch of ad rich pages. Now I am wondering how I can replicate this effort but provide high quality links that may cost a little but will get you the event you are looking for.
A couple of ideas come to mind:
a) Youtube videos offering the fight for steep discount / free--> my webpage that has the link but you have to fill out some offer first (one of those offers that pays you every time someone fills it out)
b) Reddit post offering the fight --> ""
c) Facebook ad offering the fight --> ""
- Not sure if this would be profitable or if my FB account would get shutdown so hesitant with this one
d) Website dedicate to helping people find ways to see these sporting events for free with adsense
- Not sure if this would eventually get shut down / me get in trouble
What do you guys think? Is this viable and what kind of risk is involved? Can you get in trouble promoting another service that streams videos illegally that you are not affiliated with at all?
