Making money with Instagram

Hey guys!

I recently left my job (dispute with the manager), and now I am running without any backup plan. The only thing is I don't want to go back to my 9-5.

For a start, I have two Instagram accounts, one 100k and the other 60k. (self-improvement niche)

Any advice on how I can proceed to make $2k-3k/month from them?

That's the min I need to survive for some time. I sometimes get promos for insta pages, but they aren't consistent, hence not reliable.

I am new to this community, so that any guidance would be appreciated. I am willing to learn anything else that's needed.

Timeline: I have around 4-6 months to reach that level. Else I would be forced to get a job (Can't survive without money).

Pros: I have the whole day to myself. And I am good at learning new things.

Please only provide suggestions where it would be more or less guaranteed to make 2k a month within that timeline, which can be scaled later.

I am already doing that, with courses(e-books) in the niche. But i can hardly generate 100-150$ per month.

People don't wanna buy i assume or maybe i am doing something wrong.

Are there any resources/ways i can look into to improve this ?

nah, Its not that simple. you did something that you dont even know.
 
Affiliate marketing directly through instragram is, in my opinion, an impossible task. I recommend that you start with email marketing. Write an ebook or make a course (free) that you offer to everyone who joins your email list. You do affiliate marketing through email marketing.

The other two alternatives are sponsored posts. Or you can just sell these accounts.

The third option is to hire a consultant and ask him the same question.

I am looking into that. Wouldn't I need some copywriting skills for that ?

How big of an email list do you think is needed for generating 2k per month, assuming you have 20$ commission products ?

Also, can you do that via cold emails?

That's just the end of the stream ... I don't want to do that. I want to monetize this audience.

You can copywrite your own emails... Or use ChatGPT. Cold emails to a general audience is spamming and comes with huge risk.

I understand, and i have started working on my own products. In the meantime.

Are there some resources to study on how to improve affiliate promotions via Instagram? I can reach around 2-4k people per story. But only get one sale, if that at all.

Surely there must be better ways or basic rules to get better conversions that work especially for Instagram.

I understand.

Do you (or anyone else) know any ways to assess your copy faster, so that you can learn quickly?

I assume even if I have 2000 emails(not sure if that's a good number) but still, if my copy sucks that will make it even harder to earn money on it.

And i assume we can probably send one mail per day in order to avoid un-subscriptions

When writing sales copy, ask yourself "would I buy if I saw this?"

If no, then you should reconsider. That's how I write sales email copy for clients and they keep coming back so something seems to be working.

Really a lot of sales boils down to that. If you wouldn't buy from you, why are you expecting someone else who doesn't spend 24/7 with you to buy it?

Some effective methods for testing email copy is to send small numbers first, send different copies and see which ones performed the best. 2000 emails should be enough, as long as you stay out of the spam box.

No idea. It depends on who are on your list. If it's full of bots or wrong addresses, you will need 100 billion addresses.

Yeah, shitty guidance is always free. If you want to get some good advice you have to pay for that, there are no free lunches. Hire social media manager, widen your approach by conquering other platforms like youtube automation. Build a brand. The most important thing is that email list. Sooner or later IG will delete your accounts and PUFF, it's all gone. But nobody can steal your email list.

If I was you, I will definitely try to find some business partner/mentor who has some idea of how to do internet marketing, because, how to say this nicely, you don't seem to know shit. Or go to Fiverr and find a virtual assistant who knows everything about everything and hire him to make you some money.

Well, that is due to the fact that you are not selling what they want to buy.

Also the location of your followers matters. If they are from Tier 1 countries, you can make more.

So look at your demography and get what they really want to buy, then sell it
