Making money with email lists ?

I am planning to do something like this :

1) Make a blog in make money online niche.
2) Post some methods to make money online.
3) Drive traffic to the site and build an email list.
4) Promote tools for implementing those methods easily or for other new methods.

Am I on right track or missing anything here ?

It is hard to get subscriber (Email) but It is really profitable if you're able to get many US Email List or TIER 1 Emails.

You are on the right track but you will find out very fast that it's a lot harder than it sounds.

Which part specifically ?

It's very hard as other op said.
If you are exploring for the first time then you have to spend too much money for quality leads.

Wouldn't people subscribe if they find good information on site ?

They will definitely subscribe. The Main thing is your point 4 .
Have to be tier 1/2 traffic . Who have not been into making Money already.

For example people want to make money in cryptocurrency. But many don't know how to start. Website providing these information are now heavily profiting in affiliate.

Profiting in affiliate like are there separate affiliate programs for crypto or just referring to exchanges.

Sure but where do these people come from? How do you acquire them ? How many sign up for your email and how many of those become paying customers?
As usual does revenue>costs in a significant way for it to be worthwhile?

Pretty much all parts.

1Your blog design, do you got it right, is it appealing, clear, readable etc

2"Post some methods" What kinda methods, methods you found on the internet(copyright violation) did you create the methods and can you provide proof the methods work etc

3How are you going to drive traffic? Just because you post some links doesn't mean people will come, how are you going to lure them in? And if you finally got that down how are going to force people to join your email list, do you use a popup? Is the popup configured right, do you have a freebie to go with it? Once you got a few people on your list you figured out how to campaign it yet? How many steps will you use and what will you send them between offers because you can't spam them to death with offers etc

4What kinda tools? Did you research the optimal demographic yet, why would they get those tools from you if there already thousands of places where they can get them etc

Not to mention this is the most used niche so you will have huge competition

I am sure you are talking about website like medium.com almost all money making tips there are paid one.
In crypto niece , they are directly affiliating for new coin ico's . If you have traffic, coin Devs are ready to give huge amount. It's an double profit one for posting and other for affiliating.

I collect nearly 250 emails per day for SEO and IM tools. I'm not making any money. It's not an easy niche. I've only just started to mail my list but I'm already looking at alternative monitisation methods.
