Well that is how marketing works, they do need to make positive revenue and an income from the service they offer. Every CPA, PPC or Affiliate makes money off you regardless of how much they pay you

The way I make money with uploads is. I have set up a blog that has a very prominent download keyword in the URL, the blog is already authority so google likes the content. Whenever I find a popular download I create a blog post reviewing the download with the keyword in the URL and a decent KW density. At the end of the post I put a download button, the download button goes to a content locked page on a subdomain of another site I own with a foreign .tld with nofollow/noindex (to prevent shit like tv-shack from happening to me /paranoid), people complete my offers and then can choose to download the movie/show from Graboid, Torrents or other download sites like mediafire. I'm still doing a lot of split tests with variations of that method, but it averages about 15-40$/day depending on how popular these files decide to get and how high on google I rank with them without SEO. Most of the locked files are not movies/games but tutorials/files/guides.
