Making money with developing android games

Hello everyone, long time lurker here.

So I have recently seen on Rbeermoney(sorry) someone said in 2014 he developped an app with android dev SDK after a week study.
I would like to learn to develop games for Android. Can you or anyone else guide me how to start and tell me how long it takes to develop a simple game. Can you share how you made it where you are.
I already have a game in mind wich was developed by my grandfather for commodore16(16kbyte lol) some 40 years ago. It is simple but so much fun

i Have built some android games. and i strongly recommend using Unity3d engine this is super easy and there is lot of information out there. I made my games with unity3d and c#. there are sample codes and unity3d is documented really well

I've never used Unity, but GameMaker Studio is a great way to make 2D games to promote your games online.
