hey itso,
I cant JV with you. But I like to write creative/comedy aswell. And can share some strategies on how to monetize that might help.
In my spare time I been writing out stuff and put together a small collection of stories now. I happen to meet an animator, showed him, and he loved it and has begun working on them now, and we're doing a youtube channel , hopefully this month will be ready.
So if you're not already, just start making your content, don't wait for someone to pay you. Get it ready. And have a portfolio ready to show potential partners/hirers.
If possible try and learn some very basic graphic design or animation tools and put together some visual elements to your content. You don't have to be talented visually, look at the first seasons of southpark, or basic meme images. Also there is heaps of automated animation tools around. I've used powtoons but there's plenty others. Get creative with using basic visuals, like software that auto generates characters and lip movement.
There are jobs for meme makers aswell.
You could also try 'write you jokes' as a fiverr gig. And apply for comedy jobs at upwork.
Keen to know your thoughts on this aswell.
