Making money with a new website

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for making money with a brand new website? I'm running a site that posts free samples and coupons from factory direct websites. Right now the plan is to make money from adsense which has been about 1 cent so far. My end goal to start is around $1 a day and up scale from there but am not sure what I should be focusing on besides the daily content added.
