Hey everyone I am mobileguy or dev101 on the android market. I develop apps mostly for myself and maybe friends every now and then. Recently I made an app for the android called Gomp3 it is a free app so I am using ads to make money. And I wanted to keep an online journal for everyone here so I can share my journey to riches or if this turns up to be nothing.
If you want to see what the app is about (if the name doesn't say it all) just go to the google play store and search gomp3 (just like that and its the only one that pops up)
and then you get this little icon. I can not post the link yet to the google play store since I am still too new on here. But if anyone wants it and can't find the app pm me and i will send it to you.

Okay now down to some good stuff. It has been about 1 week now since I published the app on the play store, it is averaging about 23.8 downloads a day so lets round up to 24. So far all I spent were the $25 to become a google publisher and lots and lots of time making this app. My ads on the app have had about 800-1000+ impressions a day. That is a $3.00. Now that is not a lot at all. But my hope is that as more people download it more money will come in. I am using admob for those of you who might want to know. My ultimate goal for this app is to be making 200+ a day if I can, so far I am very short of that goal. But this is only week 1 after all, lets see how week two goes shall we? I will post week 2 results soon. For now my goal has fallen very short but not giving up yet. Also for those looking to go in the app business it is a very hard business if your publishing your own apps. However you can make it big if your app catches on, which is what I am hoping my app will do. if your a developer making apps for people your in decent shape. Well this is week 1 all comments and feed back is welcome.
