Making money with a forum

Only example that forum admin can earn good massive profits that is BHW. Follow the admin.

It's a very specific niche and not a good example, if my main intent is to build a forum on a fan following for a game or movie as an example.

I think a forum is one of the harder ways to make money online, because you need staff/moderators as there always will be misbehaving users.

The idea of emulating membership levels and paid Ads like BHW will work for sure. But traffic determines if the forum will thrive or not (And it should grow at an exponential level with time). I believe that's the tough part.

Yes there are forums that are profitable. It's like a blog but you let other people come discuss about things. A good administration and a good niche should bring your forum up on search engines and get your traffic.
