Making money - where to start? (i can do html/php/sql/youtube/blog)

Hi,

i was very familiar with SEO and affiliate programs around 2001 but have taken a break since then.

Now the times have changed (SEO is more complex, but we also have more possibilities now).

What would you suggest a "returner" like me?

I'm able to do HTML, PHP, SQL and basic SEO. Also i'm familiar with YouTube uploading and blogging.

Do i need to search for a niche first? Or are there "universal proved methods"?

I know there are many ways to make money with the internet but i can't evaluate what works and what not.

Take things one at a time. You can offer your skills as service on fiverr and in the hire a freelance section.

Yeah i know but those sections are full of freelancers. I would like to start "my own thing".

By "own thing" do you mean you want to utilize the skills you already have (html/php/sql/youtube/blog) and maybe become a web developer or return to SEO and marketing ?

I'm already a web developer and my skills shall just help me to establish "own things".

But i'm not sure how i should start... which niche and which affiliate/adsense/method etc.

I know i can write some blogarticles about a special thing and place adsense around it but this need a lot of traffic to be profitable. Also a lot of visitors don't even see the ads because of adblockers.

So i'm just looking for actual tipps & tricks... i got time and i got the basic skills
