Making Money Online Journey

I started this thread for a number of reasons:
1. (MAIN) To continuously practice and hone my writing skills.
2. To hold myself accountable and make sure I am productive everyday.
3. To organize my thoughts and plans.
4. To help newbies who are struggling, and someday, somehow, prove that success can be achieved.


So what is this about?
This journey is about making money online. Through jobs, through IM, etc. everything goes as long as it's done online, using only a PC or a laptop. No offline employment, offline jobs, or anything of the sort.

The format?
I haven't thought about that yet. So for the first few posts, I guess it'll be a big jumble of shit. I'll be like the stinky version of cookie monster. I don't mind. Out of chaos comes order, so they say. But I know it'll be organized one way or another.


CURRENT REALITY:
-- I learn fast and I have a knack for writing. Before that, I've been a telemarketer for a good number of years so I'm pretty confident with my selling abilities. I'll start with this and look for online jobs.
-- Along the way, I've purchased a couple of tools that can be useful for side projects. But I don't want to bite more than what I can chew. So for projects, I'm going one at a time.
-- Again, I learn fast. Ridiculously. But I need to review again, I guess for another month. It's a good thing I learned 'how to learn' so I think if there are skills I need to gain along the way, I'll go and learn them all. Better to equip myself with a variety of blades after all.

GOAL:
Very simple. For now, I want to be able to earn $1,000/mo. Clean, net income. With this, I'll be able to handle bills and expenses and keep floating. Once reached, I'll raise the bar bit by bit.

METHOD:
Nadah. I still don't know what I'm going to do. First, of course, is to look for a job (or jobs). As for IM projects, I'm still going here and there but probably, after reading for a while here, I'll pick a method and work my ass off. What I'm sure about is I'm going to keep on moving, pile up efforts after efforts until I reach my goal.

GOAL FOR THE MONTH:
-- Earnings: $476
-- A full-time online job
-- A side project I can sink my teeth into

So if I want to earn $1,000 in a month through online ventures, I would need to earn at least $34/day. That's what I have to keep in mind when looking for a job.

JOURNALING
Before I begin hustling... the most important step I think is journaling. Outlining where I currently am, where I want to go, and how I am going to achieve it.

JOB
A few days back, I got hired to do a job for $99.99, less fees. So about $90. All I need to do is to list down events for a client where he can send a message and negotiate whether or not he can be a speaker on the said event. 45 events in total.

I said I'll finish it in 2-3 days. But I'm planning on hammering tonight and get it done in a few hours, but of course ensuring quality work is given so there'll be more jobs from him in the future.

SIDE PROJECT
I have a few Instagram accounts I am growing. I read around the forum a couple days back and found a method (IG+OGads) that I followed. Bought a domain with the few dollars I have left on my Paypal account, set up a landing page, and linked it to my account.

Unfortunately, right now, I'm getting an error message from IG saying that my link is "SUSPICIOUS". So I'd have to find a workaround if I want to promote CPA offers on my account.

OVERALL
Jobs:

I am right in the middle of something but I've been dying to write my thoughts out.

First things first... a little change with my goals. After VERY CAREFUL consideration, planning, and further thinking... my monthly income SHOULDN'T go below $2100.


So how does one go from 0 to $2100?... To be honest, right now, it seems like an insurmountable wall to me. Doable, yes. For some, it seems stupidly low. But for me and my family, it will allow us to live comfortably for an entire month.

Lately, there has been nothing going on but worries. About where to get money for food, for school fees, for the rent, and a bunch other bills. So please forgive me if I seem desperate for such an insignificant amount. Please understand, I'll give anything to remove worries from the people I love.

Onto the tangible stuff...


JOBS
I need to grind like a madman, it seems. But don't we all? This time though, relaxation can only be achieved during sleeping. And sleeping should be trimmed. No more snoozing whenever I want.

I need an hourly job for that will run 8 hours per day. If more is needed from me, better. Looks like I have to focus on telemarketing for now. Too bad. I really enjoy writing.

That's it for jobs. It may not be enough but it's a start. For now, I'll settle that before taking on project-based contracts.


SIDE PROJECT
1st Project -- Instagram
Take note... I'm not much of a fan of monetizing Instagram. For a bunch of reasons. But I really hate leaving things half-done. I want to see it to completion.

I have several accounts scattered across various wide niches. I haven't done micro-niching, so to speak.

Here's the plan:
The ultimate goal is to sell the accounts once they reach the 100k followers mark. Hopefully, I make at least $900 each. In the meantime, I want to figure out a way to promote CPA offers on Instagram. For this, I need to use 1 account as a guinea pig. But I'm kind of wary. Here's why...

I've set up the accounts really carefully. Interacted with my followers, updated photos, and took care of every nook and cranny with regards to engagement. Somehow, I've gotten attached to my accounts. My fear is by promoting CPA offers, I'm risking getting them banned.

Still deciding on things. Hopefully, if you have an IG journey and you're reading this, please share some insights?

Here's what I did so far --
*Set up the accounts on my bot + set them up to unfollow all current followings.
*Once that's done, I'll begin my daily IG tasks again.


OVERALL
Jobs:

People usually use a web 2.0 as a buffer for their CPA links on Instagram. I need to find the thread that describes how that works.

I don't work with IG because they're sons of bitches, but I've been watching that thread and it's full of useful information for newbies who want to monetize IG. So I bookmarked it.

PREVIOUS TASKS:
1. Finish 45 events for my client (DONE)

I haven't a clue as to what day it is now. Nor how many days has it been since I started hustling with a specific goal in mind. Which I think is good.

Being in the now, unchaining myself from the grips of time, and enjoying everything -- step by step. (Read: Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle).

I fumble a lot. In fact, I still find myself hurrying, being subject to the same old worries. But things are different now. I can now observe and slowly shift myself back to the state where I am the most productive.

Now... onto the tangible stuff.


JOBS

I just finished listing down events for my client. And I am dog tired. It's harder than it sounds. But nevertheless, I am happy and satisfied. Each event was given a lot of thinking, a lot of consideration, to make sure it is relevant and proper for my client's industry. Submitted the work and rested a bit.

I haven't started applying to online jobs for telemarketing yet. A part of me still wants to write for a living but I need to place top priority to the things that are more important -- making a living. It's just a preference problem and will not affect my end goal in any way. So I'm cool.

Pending Income -- $90


SIDE PROJECT

I haven't gotten into a diaper project. This is a meme that's supposed to portray enlightenment.

I am using a bot and it's as simple as it gets. I only use it to unfollow all my followings after a certain number has been reached.

As for following, I'm doing it manually.

I have a few accounts that have aged naturally. The oldest is about 7 months, next is 5 months, and the others are around 3 months old. I guess it's about time I put them all into actions.

Thanks to @alwaysinvisible 's help, I've acquired some really cool tips!

I need to begin creating web 2.0's that will serve as a pre-LP for the CPA offers I'm looking to promote. So a few things to learn before we can begin banking:
1.) How to create DECENT landing pages on web 2.0's
2.) How to create a GREAT landing page on Wordpress
3.) How to clone a website

I'm going to test which is more effective -- a custom landing page OR a copied landing page from OGAds (if I'm going to promote OGAds at all). Before that though, I will test a few offers from MaxBounty and check how they're going to fare against OGAds.

In the end, it should look like:
Shortened URL --> Web 2.0 Pre-lander --> Landing page --> CPA Offer

This is the only thing I'll be thinking about with this project for now. Along with my daily IG followings, likes, and commenting.

It's been a while.

I was so into the things I was doing that I forgot to update here. This time, I'm putting this as top priority before I start the day. To organize my thoughts and put a mark on wherever I currently am in my figurative map towards my goal.

JOBS
-- I just had an interview yesterday for an Australian company. This is a telemarketing gig. Honestly, I'm thrilled. I know for a fact that it's easier to sell to the Australian market because they listen. Whether they're interested or not, they'll let you finish what you were saying. They're nice that way. But the final interview with the co-founders of the company is scheduled for next week so I probably need to send a few more applications.

-- The previous job went really well. The client was so satisfied with the events that he gave me a $50 bonus (FRICKING AWESOME!) and I am really thrilled. He wants more and I plan to provide more.

SIDE PROJECT
-- Okay. Now it's smooth. I can link from my IG account going to my landing page by using a web 2.0 as a pre-lander. BUT the results are so low it's not even worth mentioning. I've been promoting MaxBounty offers so there's that. This time, I'm going to try OGAds and see if that will bring better results.

OTHERS
-- I have started learning web development. From the most basic, of course. I know that this will help me further down the line if I want to earn more in the future so preparation is necessary. Aside from that, I plan on RElearning all the stuff that comes with the territory of the job I currently have -- telemarketing. So books, books, books. I plan to immerse myself on learning further.


EARNINGS
$104 (events job)
-- And I guess this sums up my total earnings for the month BUT all the preparations have been laid down so I'm expecting a huge spurt on earnings by October.


TASKS:
1. Send as much applications as I can on telemarketing-related jobs at Upwork.
2. Learn how to PERFECTLY clone a website using HTTRACK (since I'm going to use OGAds landing pages).
3. Set up landing pages for all accounts.
4. Daily learnings -- HTML & CSS; Telemarketing; Subjects relating to how to handle your money

P.S.: On the following updates after this, I'll begin showing my daily stats for my IG accounts.

Web 2.0, as far as I know, are those sites in which you can post your content to. Wordpress is 2.0, so is Blogger (or blogspot), Weebly, etc. I cannot attach an excel file here but if you send me a PM with you email address, I can send you a list of web 2.0's. Don't thank me, I just picked it up somewhere (can't remember).

As for your links, if nothing's happened, then you are one lucky bastard!

In my situation, once I post a link on my IG account, after a few mins., it gets tagged as malicious. So whoever clicks won't get redirected to my LP. That was my problem a few weeks back. Good thing, the benevolent @alwaysinvisible pointed me to a post explaining the solution -- Web 2.0 as a pre-lander.

P.S.: I suggest checking your link from time to time and see if it still redirects to your landing page. Just to cover your bases.

I have a ton of questions, believe me. But that's all set for my next project. Hopefully, you'll be around once I start things with that. I know that with your help, everything's going to be much much easier. Plus I will learn a shit-ton of things from a master. Thanks man!

Oh I'll be around. I just know that if you are a beginner in WordPress, you may have some issues here and there.

I was not too far from where you are right now a couple months ago. I got burned at a part time WordPress gig I had from home. So I had zero income, was about to get a part time job, then was told to stop doing that and take a jump. I did and I made some decent website deals with some companies near me. I now have a couple companies on monthly plans. Im making more than if I had a part time job right now and I work from home. You can do it, you got the drive so that's a majority of the battle my friend.

I am a bit jealous.

To be honest, I've always wanted to create something and make a living out of it. Although selling is a profession very dear to my heart, it's still a far cry compared to the emotional satisfaction I get whenever I successfully give birth to something (figuratively, of course, lol). In any case, I know I'll get there too. I've decided to learn web development, programming, and basically everything I can learn about computers and software. So in time, I know we'll be on the same page.

In the mean time, I have an idea for the next project I am going to take on after Instagram + CPA and will heavily involve Wordpress. Surely, your input will be very valuable.
