making money online doesnt work anymore

I just started at this a little over a week ago and have already made 57 cents on a few youtube videos using PPI. Nothing to write home about (hardly enough to buy the stamp), but with a different method than you, I'm 1/3rd of the way to where you are with very little effort and an hour of my actual time.

Not to tear you down, this is to say try something else! Now that I see what I'm doing works, I can modify it, put in some actual time and effort, and grow it. Maybe it's a noob mistake to make such lofty predictions, but I think I could be at $1.50 a day within a couple weeks. If you've been a member here for years and have only tried one method, I'd say that's your single biggest problem. You've been beating a dead horse for years and expecting money instead of blood.

IM isn't for everyone, you're right. Shit, I even gave up for a bit myself, but I came back.
I got 5 videos I'm trying to rank on Google atm, gonna be 6 soon. And I KNOW in time they'll rank, and I'll start to bank.

I realize this thread is old but I feel compelled to reply for those who are new and may come across this.

BHW used to be THE place to come find money making methods, it used to be a smaller site and we could discuss things openly. Then it hit alexa top 100, more people came, you share a method and it's toast within 24 hrs. What can you do? People hushed up. They had to.

Now, a lot, I'm not saying everybody guys, I'm saying a lot of people post methods that are old, bunk, not gonna get you rich or missing the golden twist because they are building up their account rep for a shot at VIP, mod or sales.

Where does this leave you? Well, you have to super twist things, figure out a lot on your own and privately network. The best methods I ever found were from just back engineering what I found other people were doing. Don't be afraid to go get into the wild and get your hands dirty. If you want to promote on facebook, find someone who already is and obsessively research what they are doing and where, etc. Use google dorks with known cpa jumplink domains and figure out what they're doing. Most people using bit.ly links are leaving a trail a billion miles long and don't even realize it. I could go on. Most people banking hard are all but silent on their methods, which is good.

It's work, hard work, be prepared for that, but don't be afraid to try methods. The things you learn from putting in action are invaluable, and will make future methods you try much easier.I probably try and fail at 50 methods per year, I don't see it as a loss at all, I learn a lot and apply what I learn to other things down the road. Once you've tested a shitload of methods, you don't have to test so much, either. You'll be able to just read stuff and get ideas.

Don't forget that some people are also open to selling/trading methods or putting you in their downline and giving you a helping hand since they get a bonus on your sales.

It's far from impossible, and to OP, if you made $1.00 then imo there's no excuse for making $100 or more, making that first dollar is the hardest when you're starting out by far.

Great advice man. I've only been at this since the mid of aug, but I've treated it just like learning to shave or something. I have cut myself a thousand times, but every now and then, I get the perfect shave. And after a while you can do it without looking, and eventually without shaving cream. Ya just gotta study that face. Learn the direction of the grains, where the bumps and freckles are, or whatever the h*ll else is on there. I can guarantee, not one of us got it right our first time.

Basically, this horrible metaphor says, we all need to shave more.. Sorry dudes.
 
This guys pretty funny. I've only been in IM seriously for about 3 months, and I've earned abou $60-$70 bucks, and am currently looking at a major invest for more. Seriously, if you can't find a way to make money, don't think the problem lies within the internet. The problem lies in you. Could be your method, could be any number of causes.

But hey, if you get a 9-5, you'll help support people like us anyway. Because I'm certain you've brought something online in your lifetime.
 
fuck yourself, seriously. nobody needs naysayers. A serious IM income is def. possible and if you have made 1.50$ so far then you're obviously doing something wrong. I and many others live by IM.
 
I did not time to read every post in this thread, so responding directly to the OP here,

I am brand new to IM and have been at it for less than a year. My very first project was adult because I thought it would be easy. It took me nearly 3-4 months of busting my ass in my free time, learning new skills, finding content, trying to figure out what I broke, etc. Needless to say, none of those things were particularly easy... After about 8 months I am finally making around $300 a month and that is with about 1-2 hours of work per week. Sure it's not the $1M dream that we all have but that is an extra credit card payment, car payment, or whatever else you may want to use it for.

No one ever said IM was easy and if you believe that just starting out then you have already failed. If you honestly believe that money can't be made on the internet then you probably don't belong here at BHW and you should move on. Otherwise put your head down, come up with a new idea, market the s&^* out of it and make yourself some money.

Lastly, if you think you can depend solely on methods posted on the forum then I would say you are batshit crazy. Most of those methods that are being posted are, for the most part, dried up and simply being used by people for some form of reputation with the site. That's not to say that with a little bit of work that same method can't be brought to life.

Stop buying crappy products and spending your time in the wrong areas. You can't game the system anymore, it's all about creating legitimate websites and there are TONS of great resources out there.

Listen to podcasts, I recommend starting with Pat Flynn.

OP is right this is just depressing. It gets twice as difficult if your not from the US.
If I could make just $1 per month I would still have some hope
The way things are it's saturated.
Wasting a lot of time without any results is just demotivating.
It's like people already know and have everything and no one wants to click or buy anything online. Even adult industry is difficult to get into.
Thinking positive never worked either you will just be a broke happy delusional person.
Or client to some "guru" with lots of promises and that likes to show off his mansion and cars.

Before I found this forum, and before I started reading anything I was able to get to $75/month with minimal effort. I made a canned android app with an image gallery, I used a template, I have no coding knowledge. I used a browser extension to mass download 250+ images from a single source of sexy ladies. I put 50 images into a gallery in my app, then I made a second app and added 200 more. I released the first one for free and charged $.99 for the pro version. A monkey could have done it and I could keep doing it, but it was not scalable so I gave it up. My google account got banned 3 times, I made new ones each time.

My apps are still on amazon and I still get a cheque for $150 every 2-3 months or so and I haven't updated them in like fucking 9 months.

I'm sorry but making money online is easy as shit. Stop reading a billion threads with different ideas and go try something. I'm not from the USA and I did fine, I got 30% withheld from amazon and google, then I called the IRS and got my stupid ITIN number or whatever the fuck its called and got like $450 back from the IRS, it took 15 minutes and cost me like $5 in long distance call charges but I got it all back.

"saturated" is a misnomer, if there are 10,000 apps with the same purpose as mine I would still have made money because there are 1000x as many users. People are stupid with their money, give them a chance and they will spend it on stupid shit.

My first amazon book was in free promotion and someone managed to buy it for $2.99, I don't even know how they managed it because it was listed free?

Instead of doing nursing school I decided to do this IM thing all because of robert kiyosaki's books.
And after 3 years, I am making $1 a month now (or less .84 cents to be exact). Of course there was a time I made $800/month but now it's all gone downhill for me.
I am stuck here looking for new ideas. I seriously don't know what to do anymore. I am lost. I wish I was never born. these are the thoughts and feelings coming in my mind especially since all my family members/cousins have gone on to become doctors/lawyers/nursing/IT techs/etc and here I am an effin laughing stock with no job no education no future a complete and total failure.
I tried hard, I hustled hard.

But you know what
I am never gonna give up
I am going to die trying
 
some will succeed and some wont. it doesnt mean making money online doesnt work anymore just because you are unable to survive in this arena. this is an arena where the smart minds always win. internet is changing everyday. we have to keep updating our knowledge every single day. keep trying bro. never give up.
 
You're right! Everyone know this whole internet fad is going to end soon anyway, that's why I put all my money into typewriter stocks.
