Making Money on the Web - Newbie Facts/Help

Hi there,

I've been on the forum for a while now and there are some themes that you see day after day - and I just wanted to list the most common to save you time and money.

* If someone is selling you a method to make $1000 a month for $50 - it's probably dead - and let us face the facts - in this business when someone finds something profitable - they scale it up and milk it for as long as possible.

so don't spend your hard earned money on pipe dreams .. be realistic.

* no IM empire is built on Blogger or Free Wordpress .. you don't own these sites and you can be banned at any time - so don't spend months of work building sites on them -- because in the long run its wasting time.

learn how to install wordpress / forward domain names - and use coupons to get the best deal on hosting/domains when your starting out.

--> also it's smart to use privacy on your domain names when marketing various methods.
--> find yourself some nice WP themes and Plugins to best optimize your Site.

* No Software ever prints money - Software serves a purpose and makes things faster - but don't think you can't make money without it. Besides it's best to test your ideas first to see if they are actually going to work first - before you put too much time and effort into it.

* YouTube / Facebook and Twitter have been around a while now - and know how to check for footprints etc - it's not like it was a couple of years ago .. so do your research on BHW - and find out what is working today - and how to maximize the use of your time .. nothing worse than being ghosted / blocked or banned at every corner.

* use things like AddMeFast to get your videos etc some extra attention

* Seo goes in 2 directions ... 1. BHW Spam - Rank Quickly and Die Quickly or 2. WH or GH - where you actually make an effort to engage your audience.

that's great that you can rank a Site but that's only half the battle .. how are you going to monetize the traffic ? - and does the network have a good history of payments .. this is important to check

**** Fraud doesn't work -- no clicking your own Ads / filling in your own offers / using bad cards -- the networks have seen all this before and all it does is make it harder for you down the line to make money - because you have to get into stealth accounts and those can have issues getting paid.

* If you don't know something - or just can't seem to figure it out then do the following

+ use search box on BHW + search YouTube for a Video + if its about hosting - ask your host or check their FAQ

--- Hosting Problems you can't fix -- then contact ServerBuddies.com - and have them fix it for you

* have no money but want a theme or software ---> check the BHW Download section or make a request and a member maybe able to help you.

* Don't scam/spam or abuse fellow BHW members - BHW is a great community where it is so easy to learn ways to make money for the long term - scamming fellow members over $50 is uncalled for .. be respectful otherwise it just hurts us all.

* when you buy links to your first website - don't buy 10,000 links and point them to your money site - it's just not natural --> fire them into a Web 2 network or other networks feeding into your Site - only use quality to Money Site.

* need inspiration -- read the BHW Journey Section

Finally - when your starting out - take notes - search for answers and solutions and no matter how hard you think something is there is always a solution because someone else has had the same problem before you.

This information is in my DNA. It is so common sense that it is an instinct hardwired in my brain.

Is it okay to use free wordpress or some other web 2.0 site to publicize my CPA links? Coz I've joined in a CPA network and I'm planning to get traffic by creating web 2.0 sites and adding re-written articles in it. I'd be happy if you PM me your IM id, I have a lot to ask and get answers. Thanks for the share.

I'm sure everyone at some point - makes some affiliate links on Blogger or Wordpress .. especially when you have no money starting out.

But to be honest you have to realize that - in the long run - you need proper domains and your own hosting/wordpress installation - because those Web 2 sites can get killed just as easy and all of a sudden you have no money... also these Sites are never going to make as much as a nice Site with a nice Theme.

You can buy domains for a couple of dollars - you can get real cheap hosting or hosting deals - and wordpress is free .. then hit up BHW Download section for a free theme ... so I'm trying to point out to people that is a way better thing to do - than put all your effort into a blogger or wordpress free -- as your money site.

Especially if your in IM for the long haul.

It's just one of those things - you can't expect to make $10,000 a month from something that is free and not in your control.

Anyway you can decide what is best for you to work with - and where you want to go with your earnings.

Thanks for the words, but am starting from zero I've nothing to invest. So I'm starting with free sites. Meanwhile, earning money from my day job but not that sufficient to invest for my IM journey. I hope surely I'll post my success thread here in BHW.

I totally get that Pablo .. my observation was just that - those sites are ok for the short term and when your starting out

but you just can't depend on them .. and the cost to upgrade to something a lot better can be very low if you hunt around a bit for deals/coupons/offers... and on BHW itself in terms of some really nice wp themes.

Noob here: So let's say you do some keyword research and find a good niche but it's a niche you barely know about.

When you go about setting up websites about the niche, obviously you're gonna need to order articles from writers but how do you know SPECIFICALLY which topics to request your writers to write about if you aren't familiar with the niche?

Say, for example, my niche is "robot toys." How do I go about selecting which articles to write about (or have others write about)? Can you walk me through the thought-process? Thanks.

I would like to hear Danny's take on this as well. What I always do is let articles be written on long tail keywords.

So in your case it would be something like: "robot toys of the 90's"
And for social media I use posts like: "top 10 most expensive robot toys"

what I try to do is narrow it down to something people are searching for regardless of the topic ... also go and look what the competition is doing and using ... you don't need to provide every single idea for yourself.
