I have a YouTube channel with 27,500 subscribers. The channel is music-focused, and most of the content consists of shorts. I create videos from Greek dance scenes in nightclubs, but with shorts, I couldn’t meet the criteria for Google AdSense approval, even though I have shorts with 2 million views, 1.5 million views, etc.
To try and meet the requirements, I made two longer videos, one of 10 minutes that reached 105,000 views and another with 22,000 views, which helped me meet the criteria for monetization. However, AdSense rejected my application because some of my videos are reused content, which makes sense since my content often features music from these venues, leading to copyright issues. This makes it even harder for the channel to get approved.
I’ve come to terms with the fact that this channel will never be approved for monetization. Can anyone suggest how I could make money from this channel? I also have the same channel on TikTok with 30,000 followers, where I upload old music clips from Greek songs that were hits in the ’90s and 2000s.
I thought about trying affiliate marketing, but realistically, no one is going to click a link in the description of a music short video. Is there another way to monetize this content?
Both of my YouTube channels are very active. Yesterday, I uploaded a video on TikTok, and it already has 120,000 views. On YouTube, I upload one short per day, and my last three shorts are doing really well — two of them are getting around 2,000 views per hour.
Overall, my older videos also perform consistently well. On average, I get about 80,000–100,000 views per day just from my older content, even when I don’t have a viral video.
