Hi I have a site in rap market. Most people seem to be monetizing with t-shirts and hats. I'm trying to figure out how to market it so I an get some recurring funds with it. I'm making like $5 per day with it with adsense.

Some options are
1. Make my own t-shirt /hoodie site and sell them stuff
downside: I don't want to ship or deal with customer service

2. Make a membership .torrent site
No clue how to actually implement that

What do you think?
what would you do?

Hello. If you don't want to ship or deal with customer service but want to sell t-shirts & hoodies, you can try cafepress.com and you can create your own & they'll drop ship it for you.

list building is always a good idea to sell them sh1t later

you mentioned t-shirts, hats, but don't forget about shoes, it's just as important for a rapper

you can also try to monetize your site with the most obvious: rap albums, mp3s or even (men) jewelry, i mean those bling blings

Thanks man I think I need to get popup domination installed on there...stat
I guess I should probably remove the adsense...

You can create just about anything having to do with clothes/shoes at zazzle.com. Upload an image, select what you want to put it on and create an online store. They handle manufacturing & shipping and you get a commission on whatever sells. (Something like 10%.)

I'm also thinking of selling some bongs or something... need to find aff program for it.

you should have a more detailed plan at first. and figure out what you can do and what need to be outsourced.

I just finished a plan for outsourcing traffic and put my VA on it.

Link to amazon albums?

Make them complete a survey to download a song?

Go on youtube and find remixs of popular rap songs, take the audio, give them a 15 second clip, lock the download with a survey?

Put my station on there, or build your own station, to provide music to the people coming to the site, work on branding and building your twitter, hit me djbankrupt on twitter we can work together on twitter promos if its rap related i dig.

Is it targeted at rap fans, or aspiring rap artists?

If it's the latter, you could include affiliate links for recording equipment, mics, decks, mixers etc. Ebooks on how to secure a recording contract or set up a label. Maybe even some kind of paid membership site for exchanging industry contact details.

Also, there's sampling CDs, sequencing software etc. All would be ideal if you want to attract upcoming rappers & producers (or wannabes). People who are trying to break into music (of any kind) are willing to spend a small fortune. No reason why you couldn't get a piece of the action!

Rather than selling hoodies and things, maybe there's an affiliate for expensive clothes - you know, really nice jeans / jerseys etc, and you could find a way to advertise those. Commissions might be higher.
